Jagged Alliance: Collectors Bundle not good but not bad

The original is much better. But it makes me quite fun. It has its length but when you get used to it it's good. I do not regret the purchase and would recommend it Genere fans.

A Pretty Good Sequel

I have long been waiting for a sequel to the classic game, espcially with implementation in the three-dimensional world, the developer did a relatively good job. They found a good way to give the tactical component become a fresh experience in Jagged Alliance - Back in Action. The new Plan & Go system, which runs in a real-time mode and can be scheduled during breaks in the action works surprisingly well. The sectors are all well designed with quite abit of variety and you are always discovering something new on each map. The game has a full 50 hours of play time. There are many quests that are all quite varied and refreshing from the usual "Bring so and so many objects of type X to Y" missions. Granted, sometimes the AI is just too easy at lower levels. it's enough to make a noise somewhere or attack from distance, then the rest of the enemies comes running along. This makes Jagged Alliance especially easy for experienced games. The DLCs are nice bonus to the main game, adding new missions which expand the gameplay. This is a worthy bundle to check out if you are a fan of the original.

Two Mediocre Games with DLC

Both of these games have very high expectations considering how amazing the original Jagged Alliance games were. But if you can take away those high expectations the games aren't that bad. The AI in both games are stupid and their only strategy is to charge at you forcing you to use advanced techniques to stop them. So that's kind of a good thing and bad thing. The graphics look quite nice and looks like you're in a cartoon version of the place your squad is in. The soundtrack is nice and changes depending on where you are. But the gameplay is where it lacks. The controls are very clunky at times, there is bad AI and your squad doesn't always follow expectations. As for the DLC, they're not just cosmetics. For example, the camoflauge DLC may seem like a stupid cosmetic DLC for your squad but it actually helps your characters blend into the environment making the sneaking easier. At $40 this is a very affordable pack. If you are new to the series or if you are willing to let those high expectations go, this is a very enjoyable game.
