Awesome games all in one place

Half life 2 is great with its story. I like the way it is just constantly flowing with no cutscenes. Also probably one of the best starts to a game I have ever experienced. Portal is a great game for people who enjoy solving puzzles. The story is good and this game can also be quite humorous. Team fortress 2 is a good game to play with your friends. People also obsess over hats in this game but the best thing to do is just have fun with new weapons you collect and find the right class for you.

Valve's best games are all together!

This is truly amazing. Team Fortress 2, Portal, Half Life 2 + Episodes 1 and 2. All of these games are Valve's greatest achievements, their best sellers have come together for an awesome bundle! Individually these games are great, but to see them in a bundle like this is brilliant. Team Fortress 2 is one of the most exhilarating online shooters I have ever played, and despite it's age, it is still teaming with servers and players - there's in excess of around 200 servers still up and running. It's fast paced action with non-stop comedy violence. Portal is an amazing puzzle based first person game. It incorporates the 'portal gun' which creates portals required to solve puzzles. It's hard to describe, but the game is very reliant on physics, which it uses to it's advantage - I recommend this game to anyone who has just discovered Valve. Half Life 2 + Episodes are also amazing. They revolutionised Valve, without it, Valve wouldn't be half as popular as it is today! It has a great story too, one that's managed to span across the title and 2 spin-off sequels! I really love this game and it is a wise investment - fantastic fun. Well done Valve. Well done.

Best box set ever?

I'd happily pay the full price of this box set for each of these games individually!

The cult classic, Portal, is fantastic fun, sometimes puzzling and although short manages to be refreshingly different, humourous and brilliantly stylised.

Team Fortress 2 is another great Valve game. The graphics never seem to age and the community is as alive today as it was on release 6 years ago. Great online fun that will have you wasting hours and hours with friends and strangers.

I think the review prior to this one says everything you need to know about Half Life 2. Truly a classic that every gamer needs to have played.

Great value bundle for Valve's greatest franchises

A bundle containing some of Valve's greatest games - what's not to love?

Half Life 2 was literally a game changer in the industry, its impact was so big. Why? Because it is easily one of the greatest games ever released - still to this day! The level design is spot on - cleverly integrating physics-based puzzles into the game's environment. The characters are some of the most 'alive' and believable in any videogame, ones you truly care about by the game's dramatic conclusion, helped along by great voice acting and scripting. The sound and art design perfectly conveys the mood and atmosphere and the graphics have aged well. Most important of all the game is simply a lot of fun to play and a truly memorable experience. Highly recommended for anyone who is remotely interested in video games. One of the true classics that every gamer should have the pleasure of experiencing at least once! The two episodes that follow are more of the same greatness while introducing new characters and enemies as well as carrying the engaging story forward.

Portal was a risky concept for a video game - but one that paid off massively. A great game, albeit short (luckily it now has a sequel!), but wow what a ride! One of the best and lovable villains in video game history; humourous while genuinely threatening. The puzzles are fun and very clever. Really there is nothing else like it and so again, like Half Life 2, it is a game that no gamer should miss out on!
