Many puzzle games advertise themselves as some variation of "simple but addictive", but they're really not kidding when they call this game "simple". No blocks drop, no randomization takes place, and the only failure condition is running out of time, which is restored with combos... in Survival Mode. Endless Mode's name does not lie there is literally no lose condition at all besides quitting the game. Bizarrely, even this mode has a scoreboard, in spite of the fact that you can literally play a single round of the game for weeks on end, taking breaks whenever you feel like it. The only thing it measures is how long you are willing to go before just giving in and quitting. It's not a terrible game by any measure, but it just doesn't add anything to an already tired formula of match-whatever games to make itself stand out. It's ultra-low-pressure casualness also led to it not really addicting me, for that matter. You see everything this game has to offer in the first 10 minutes, and it's just the same chains from there on out.

Game is basically a Bejeweled clone with more cute graphics. There is nothing new here except instead of a minimum of 3 you need to match a minimum of 4 butterflies of the same color to claim a match. There are also combo multiplier which rewards you with quick and accurate gameplay. And if you already own any part of Bejeweled you will hard pressed finding anything worthwhile, unless you don't like matching jewels and prefer pixel butterflies. Game might interest kids a little more and you can introduce them to gaming with this cute and lovely looking title. But for the veterans of Bejeweled. I think they should reconsider buying this game.

Fluttabyes is a typical color matching puzzle game that is very simple to play. There are already mountains of other games in the genre so unless you are a huge fan of this type of game there is little to recommend here. The music is very limited and repetitive not to mention the voice overs which are all done by what sounds like a small child. The game is relaxing to play and once you get hooked you'll certainly get value for your money but with games like Bejeweled and others available I find it hard to recommend this one.

My sister bought this game the other day, and after a while she even convinced me to play it. I found instead of boredom a very interesting and addictive game. There is a survival mode, which adds the element of time pressure to the game, and of course a relaxing endless mode, with no pressure at all. There's not much variety in the game, but the game still remains hard to put down, as you want to keep increasing your high scores. Therefore this game is, certainly for this prize, a game you can't go wrong with.
