A no-brainer if you're buying HoMM5

Hammers of Fate is a direct upgrade to the base game of HoMM5, adding new units, new missions as well as items and maps. It also improves the performance and fixes some of the issues of the base game.

It is of the same high quality production wise as the base game, with the new race (the Dwarves) rendered in beautiful 3D and a nice soundtrack, there's plenty to see and do. The map generator is especially good for local hot seat games which me and my brother have taken full advantage of, meaning you don't have to play the same maps over and over again.

With the extra content and performance improvements there's no real reason not to get this expansion when you buy HoMM5 along with the 2nd, Tribes of the East :)

Great addition to HoMM V

Heroes of Might and Magic V were the return to the right path from the mistake that Heroes of Might and Magic IV are often considered to be. The fifth part looks great, plays well and has several good expansions. Hammers of Fate is one of them.

This expansion is focused on the race of dwarves, who are mostly about stubborn and resilent warriors and runes. You get an interesting new adventure with well over 10 missions, and a lot of additions to the gameplay: new skills, new spells, new maps (both single player maps and multiplayer ones), new items, new creatures, new map generator and a completely new concept: caravans.

This addition manages to keep the same high quality as the base game, so if you like Heroes of Might and Magic V, don't hesitate and get Hammers of Fate.
