a really good...all. Good story, good gameplay and good graphics. Story: The game puts you into a huge campaign in a hipothetical war between USA and URSS after the cold war. The game lets you play through both sides with a really good storytelling with cutscenes and all. Everything has movie quality and awesomeness. Graphics: the graphics are pretty cool and spectacular, also in the cutscenes you can see that those small models have a lot of detail on it, all the soldiers and vehicles are very well made. Gameplay: Its very smooth, it takes the basics like other strategy games like company of heroes or warhammer 40k DoW and improves it. Everything feels smooth and very useful. It allows to play really fast without stopping the game. Must have game for strategy lovers. Also this edition includes the russian/soviet campaign fully integrated in the main capaign, so you can play the whole game and all soviet missions will be playable in the right chronological time, so you can enjoy it even more. Also wanna thank the developers for making it available in a lot of languages, even the voice acting. Awesome game

Really great game that still holds up well today

World in Conflict was superb when it came out, and even today is still very good. The gameplay is very similar to Ground Control 2 in that you do not collect resources or build bases but rather call in extra units by air. The game's campaign missions are great with a variety of different types of objectives and locations. You merely control just a small squad and the game creates a great atmosphere with many other battles happening on the map and it really makes you feel as though you are taking part in a large-scale conflict. The interesting thing about the complete edition of World in Conflict is that the campaign from the original and the expansion are intertwined together to create one smooth experience rather than presenting the player with 2 different campaigns. Aside from the campaign, there is also skirmish mode against the AI and of course on-line play. On-line is where the game really shines as you need to communicate with team mates and work together using different types of units and abilities to succeed. However it must be said that the player base has definitely declined as the game is now quite old. The game's presentation is great. The visual style is excellent by today's standards with great lighting and effects and is surprisingly demanding for even modern computers. The game's sound is also great with excellent voice acting, sound effects and music. Although dated, World in Conflict is still great. If you haven't played this game yet, the complete edition is a great way to immerse yourself in the game. Definitely recommended!

Groundbreaking game

Even though WiC was released in 2007 it is still a solid game. The Single player campaign is very good and will keep you coming back for more every time you stop playing. Something that several new games lack. The story is well written and makes you feel that this is the way WWIII could have unfolded. The multiplayer is where the game really shines. Team work is rewarded and a must, which is something that I really like. The different roles makes you choose if you want to play aggressively or sit back and lob artillery on the enemy. The role I like the most is the support role, where you repair your fellow team mates when they are damaged. I found this most rewarding of all. Also being able to provide air cover using SAMs was also something I enjoyed. The way close air support is implemented is great. You spend points that you earn on air strikes, chemical strikes and even a nuclear strike. The Nuke is something that you must experience. When it is on 75% sale, this is a no brainer.

A must play RTS Eperience

When I first bought this game some years ago I wasn't expecting much. However, after playing through the first couple of levels I was completely taken in by the story and game-play. If you've played "Order of War" Its pretty similar in terms of the whole deploying troops mechanic but I found "World at War" a more satisfying experience especially for under the 10 dollar mark. In short its a well polished story driven RTS experience that you don't want to miss.

Much better than R.U.S.E.

If you're fan of famouse game R.U.S.E. which is tactical RTS, you will absolutely love this game! Main problem in R.U.S.E was network connection. Here is no that problem yet, the game runs perfectly without any problems. Engine is very well coded and fluent. I can't tell anything wrong about it. Tactic is the most important in this game so if you are familiar with it, you will propably be very successful. There is also excelent player community so you are able to find match pretty fast and enjoy the game. It is propably the best tactical RTS out there! Buy it!

World in Conflict: Complete Edition

I'm a fan of RTS games and world in conflict has to be one of my favourites. Its unique game play had me playing a lot of this game. The campaign is interesting, focusing on a plausible WW3 scenario and the multi-player is fun (when playing with team work). Its low price should easily deserve a buy especially when it often goes on a 75% sale. Tactical aid is awesome and its a shame other games haven't adopted this game play style as its so fun. however I do recommend having a look at some game play first as there are some who may not like it as much as I do.

World in Conflict is one of the most satisfying RTS games I have ever played after Total Annihilation, the multiplayer is ensured fun. WoC is one of the few modern RTS games I actualy enjoyed, it's singleplayer campaign is relatively interesting. It is also visualy pleasant, the battlefield itself changing completly whenever you use a devastating nuke.
