Knights of Pen & Paper: +1 Edition - Deluxe Edition is one of the best and addictive game I have ever played. The idea of game is interesting, and the pixelated graphics makes the game even better. I have completed he whole game hundreds of times and would play it again and again. This game will give you lots of hours of fun, thinking and killing enemies. Recommending this to everyone who likes to play good games.

Fun But Formulaic

For the first half hour of gameplay, you're introduced to the game's mechanics. Create your own combat encounters, pick up basic quests and complete them, travel between villages, etc. The problem is, that's about all there is to the gameplay. Sure, there's tons of things to unlock. New classes and players and desktop stuff. But the gameplay never really gets any better. I'm usually the first to jump at the defence of indie games, but this one just feels too shallow to me. The gameplay is very repetitive and can get boring fast, unless you're the kind that gets huge satisfaction out of purchasing unlocks. Give it a shot if you don't mind repetition, but after my second play session I found that I just never went back to it. It doesn't feel like a D&D tabletop game; it feels like a generic RPG with lackluster quest and game mechanics. The story is intentionally bad because it's trying to be funny, but it tends to fall short at the comedy as well.

So addicting.

You just want to keep going. Getting new players, battling new monsters, and all the other fun dialogue that comes with it. Must get, especially if you're a avid tabletop gamer.
