Shloot!

Shloot, two connected words. Shoot + Loot. what does it mean? You shoot, then you loot. By killing enemies you get more, better guns. This means you get better at killing enemies. And get better guns. That's the gameplay in a nutshell. And just from there, it only gets more fun. Also by killing enemies, you get experience. Starting from level 5, you can unlock skills. This makes you even stronger, shaping you into the ultimate vault hunter, ready for the third time through playing the game, when everything exists to kill you. And as it is, you won't let them. 10/10

The music is great too, not too complex and not too simple. Like other games such as Skyrim, the music reacts to your situation. In a battle? Good, this means you can hear various instruments creating a tense soundtrack. Just exploring? Great! The music changes to be calmer, like a niiice friendly stroll in a muuuurderous wasteland. It does get repetitive after a while though. 8/10

Graphics are dated, considering the game was released around 2008 I believe. The style changed from a more serious, gritty style to a comic book cel-shaded effect, which wasn't too bad. It changed because it made the game too similar to then popular Fallout 3, but it changed for the better - it made the style more recognizable. Still, sometimes it gets annoying and with some tweaks on the PC version you can remove most of the cel-shaded outline. 7/10

The story is minimal, worked upon in the second game and the DLC, but it's simpler to follow. You're on a harsh planet that otherwise wouldn't be viable a place to make a living, but it houses a Vault, which most thing to be myth. Vault Hunters, ala the player characters, don't believe so. So while they search for the vault they help locals. Simple. 5/10

Verdict: Great game, better with friends. Total score 30/40.

The game that started it all. You will find heaps of references to popular culture in this game, have fun spotting them all! The gameplay is fun but it can get repetitive. The graphics are amazing as the game looks cell shaded. The story is alright but the ending is a let down. The story is continued in the second game so look out for that. The gun system is nice as there are thousands of different combinations of mods that drop with the guns.
