Ride to Hell: Retribution is an action game where you play as a rugged motorcyclist who seeks retribution. However, the combat animations are copied and pasted from one enemy to the other, especially the kill animations when riding motorcycles. The voice acting is below average and does not seem to compliment the characters in any way. Graphically speaking, Ride to Hell: Retribution is an average looking game. It's not great, but it's better than games from five years back. It is hard to recommend such a game to anyone, even biker fans, with all that is lacking in this game. Ride to Hell: Retribution feels like a slapdash game and plays like it was quickly put together and because of that I cannot give this game a solid recommendation. The music is not bad though!

Do not buy.

If you in anyway enjoy video games, be it casual or hardcore gaming, I urge you one thing. Do not buy this game. It is a waste of your hard earned money and even booting it up is a waste of your time. I do not know how this game was allowed to be released. The voice acting is horrific, the graphics are reminiscent of a Playstation 2 game and the gameplay is almost unbearably bad with no innovation or real incentive to play. The story and cut scenes chop and change with no real context and the driving missions are arduous and unnecessary. It's actually a shock that a game of such poor quality has been allowed to be sold.

Not what anyone expected

Ride to Hell had such a great potential. It could be the first, truely amazing biker-game, perfect for all the fans of TV shows like Sons of Anarchy. Unfortunately, it isn't anything like this. Starting with the first thing that catches our sight - graphics are terrible, especially for a game developed so late in current generation. To be honest, saying that it looks like a game from first Xbox or PS2 would be a compliment. The textures are low-res, there are occassional pixels at the screen, and overall it looks just bad, seriously. The story is nothing new, a simple tale of vengeance, but what annoys me are the time-jumps, leaving you wondering what the hell just happened. A good example from start of the game - you are trying to escape from some bikers, then it suddenly stops with a cutscene where you are captured - how the hell did it happen!? I have no clue... The gameplay is repetitive and it gets boring quickly - you drive, you fight, and there is A LOT of quick time events. One decent thing is the music - it is pretty good, and fitting to the theme of bikers. Unfortunately voice acting is really poor, and the voices do not fit the characters. Overall - this could've been a solid game, but it's nothing like it.

Absolutely terrible.

This game is just a pile of garbage. I am the type of person who would try to look at the bright side of everything (this game has one redeeming quality). The game falls short on many, if not all, key points of what makes a game a game. The graphics are alright in some places, but absolutely terrible in many more. The games mechanics are super clunky and unresponsive. The game also lacks visual and audible feedback letting you know if you're doing something right or wrong. Sound is by far the worst part of this game. It lacks a lot of sound effects, and the ones that it does have are awful. For example, this is a biker game. One of the key points of a biker game is the motorcycle. The bikes in this game literally sound like weed wackers. The game's ONE redeeming factor is the music, only because they use proprietary licenses instead of in-house music. The one redeeming factor, however, doesn't matter if music isn't played. Many a level I went through without music ever playing. Checkpointing is poor, story is uninspired, combat is bad, multiplayer is boring. Just don't buy this game. This is an example of a quickly put together game made solely for profit.
