Fallout 3: Broken Steel is a story DLC that continues the events after the original ending of Fallout 3. Broken Steel raises the level cap of your character, and puts you back into the wastes to destroy what is left of the enclave. This is a quality DLC, second only to the excellent Point Lookout content. Overall, you can expect around 8 hours of total playtime if you follow all side quests and extra map area. As a fan of the Brotherhood of Steel, this expansion is very fun. Enemies are more difficult, even though there isn't any real new variety. This is a must buy for Fallout 3 players looking to continue the main quest.

So maybe you died a tiny bit. Now you're back and the enclave needs some finishing off. There are some fun quests, neat set pieces, and a fireworks display. Also an increase in the level cap. So, is it worth it? Yes, even if just to keep playing past the first ending. Everything fits into the base game seamlessly, and you don't have to load into a new area to experience it. Easily recommended.

Broken Steel is a must-have for Fallout 3. Frankly, it really should have been part of the base game. By the time you hit the old level cap, the base game loses nearly all its challenge, even if the majority of the map is still open for exploration. Broken Steel adds new enemies that have bite even when you reach level 30. And these new foes are not just restricted to a select part of the map, but rather "level up" the existing hostiles. Broken Steel's exclusive missions also finish off the main storyline in a way that is more engaging and appropriate to Fallout's open-ended sandbox style of play.

Whereas the other DLCs are more like singular additional missions that do little to change the flow of the game, Broken Steel does actually make the game itself better, whether or not you take advantage of the extended campaign (although why wouldn't you)? In particular, it raises the maximum level to thirty and adds an awesome new perk that allows you to potentially have 10 in all your stats, wow!

This is an awesome expansion if you're looking for really awesome items (armor, weapons) to make your character even bigger, tougher and more awesome. This all, without it being 'over the top' / exaggerated. The new content integrates seamlessly, the quests are great to play after the main quest of the base Fallout 3 game. This expansions is a game on it's own apart from the fact that it takes place in the Fallout 3 lands (and some new lands).

This expansion pack is really good. The level cap will raise to 30! The story plays 2 weeks after the main story-line. The brotherhood of steel wants to make water clear. There also are alot of side-quests, which are done well. There also are a few new area's. This DLC will add around 7-10+ hours of gameplay, which is worth it.
