Reviews for Aion: Assault on Balaurea

Typical MMO

This MMO still follows the growingly outdated model of grinding, grinding and more grinding. So much so that you MUST level on mobs for a few levels as there is not enought quests overall. No doubt you will get bored within a few weeks should you be new to the MMO experience or an MMO veteran. Graphics have been updated so they look better than before and you get new dungeons to run and new zones to explore - everything you would expect from an expansion. Armour becomes even more skimpy on the females and a 'summer clothes' pack has been added recently, allowing you to dress your character in bikinis and tight speedos. Why this has been added to an MMO, I had no idea. Despite the fact that this is an MMO and you're told you can go anywhere, invisible walls completely litter the place; preventing you from getting to that beautiful scenery you can see. Aion offers nothing more than your typical Asian MMO. Grinding for hours for little reward and titillating action for horny teens. There are better MMO's out there.

Good additions, average game overall

First of all, if you liked Aion (the original I mean), you will probably like Aion: Assault on Balaurea even more. For the MMO vets, despite its strong points (like graphics, certain mechanics of gameplay, et cetera), it is most likely that this game will not satisfy their ”urge”.

Good but others are better

Aion is a great MMORPG, but sadly the gameplay is very repetitive! You will enjoy it for the first 2 weeks but after then it will be as if you are doing the same thing over and over again! The graphics are very good. There is a confusing profession system with very little guidance offered and the dungeons are all accessed at a higher level. If you are planning on getting this game you need to be not frustrated at doing the same tings over and over again.

Great graphics!

The game offers more of the same AION, if you like the first one you are going to love Aion: Assault on Balaurea. Stunning graphics, great soundtrack as you play, pets! and tons of hours to enjoy the most beautiful MMO ever existed.
