A fresh, beautiful retro tasted platformer..XGpredator | Nov. 28, 2013 | See all XGpredator's reviews »
The great Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams-Rise of the Owlverlord should delight everyone. Those who played the original will return in all directions and in all levels of difficulty six courses and the boss (a giant owl both pirate and ninja). Those who have not yet established relationships with new Giana discover meanwhile a charming universe with an achievement and a lovely soundtrack and a gameplay based on the Twist, very refreshing. A nice little challenge for less than 5$ that clearly deserves a good note ... and, hopefully, the best hopes for a future second episode!

This is simply a new add-on for Giana Sisters, one of the best platformer released recenlty. There are seven new levels with two new sound tracks, the gameplay is pretty much the same, but the price is very low. If you liked the base game, is a must-buy. If you haven't played the "first" title yet, start with this cheapest one.
Hard platformer with amazing music.Mekh | Sept. 26, 2013 | See all Mekh's reviews »
This DLC added 7 new fun and challenging levels - it is just as good as the main game, Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams but with a few new game mechanics added to spice to gameplay up a bit. The controls are super tight and very responsive, I had no issues at all with my wired Xbox 360 controller during my playthrough of the game. This game is also known for being a very hard platformer, but there is Easy Mode if you don't want to struggle as much. I recommend playing it on Hard right from the start however if you aren't new to platformers. (and if you are feel that is too easy, give Hardcore or Überhardcore a try after finishing the game) The new soundtrack in this DLC is amazing, the two main songs for each level blends together perfectly when you switch between the Punk and Cute version of Giana. My last thoughts: This game is very much worth your money if you really enjoy tough platformers, it delivers what it set out to do and gives you an enjoyable experience. The only downside for me personally is that it was only 7 levels, so you'll get through them quite fast if you'll know what you're doing.
