Reviews for Finding Teddy [Playfire]

Gameplay of today, visuals of the past

What looks like just another platformer is in fact a great oldschool point-and-click adventure game with nice pixel graphics. None of this computer generated rendered 3d art, but painstakingly drawn-by-hand pixel art. If you remember adventure games from the 8 bit or 16 bit times, you know what to expect. Surprisingly, the aesthetics of pixel-art adventure games translated very well to a new game, and was even improved to current standards, taking it above such fine examples of pixel art as Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery. There's little rush, little tension, but a decent storyline and cute characters. You will be teaming up with some of them, and in return they will make solving puzzles easier. What looks like a children's game is actually a very good point-and-click adventure.

A nice pixel art point and click

This point and click adventure is very funny and well designed. The gameplay is pretty much the same thing you've seen during years of point and click games, but the pixel art make this unique in several ways. One new thing is the possibility to complete several side-quests, you can play them or avoid'em at all. There are no dialogues at all, but this is not bad, because the game is puzzle-oriented.
