Reviews for Sid Meier’s Civilization® V: Scrambled Continents

Great DLC!

In my opinion this is one of the top 3 DLC map packs for Civilization 5. The great thing about this DLC is that it keeps the general shape of the map but it randomizes the interiors. Quite a few Civilization 5 DLC's are really not worth buying and not special but this one is not like those. This one is definitely worth buying compared to the others.

Great expansion

Civilization five places the player in control of an empire that they can dictate and do whatever they please with it. The game is beautifully detailed and includes some amazing and brilliant locations. This DLC is an incredible addition to the already vast and open choices of maps you are able to choose from when you first start up the long and involving campaign. There is also a cool re playability feature where the map changes dynamically which creates a vibrant and alive world and it really creates an incentive to play the game over and over again. This is a must for any Civ V fan.

Not the best DLC, not the worst

At least this DLC is not a scenario pack. You get some maps that are created based off actual continents with the interiors randomized every time you play a game, but that is not as great as it gets. It tries to be dynamic, but Civ is already dynamic enough. For 5 dollars, you just get a bunch of dynamic maps. I would not recommend getting this DLC as it is just another generic Civ DLC. I do laud how 2K gave away free copies of Civ though. Everyone who got the game for free should tip 2K by buying 1 of the DLCs. Overall, interesting idea but ultimately does not add too much to the game. The 5 US dollar price point is not justifiable, wait for it to be in the Gold edition.

Finally another civilization V dlc, and a pretty good one in my opinion. This dlc uses a new script which makes randomized interiors every time you start a new game. It makes civilization even more awesome. Eventhough it's a small mod it's really fun playing those maps. The maps that are included are: Africa, Eastern Asia, North and South America, Western Europe, the Middle East, a thawed Antarctica, new scripted maps for Small Continents and Oceania, plus one map including all of Earth’s continents. It's worth buying in my opinion, but it's not required for a civilization beginner. In my opinion it's worth getting.
