Reviews for Urban Chaos
Good action packed game with much freedomsaojoao | Oct. 22, 2013 | See all saojoao's reviews »
Although Urban Chaos is not a new game, it still offers good amount of fun and entertainment if you look farther than on its slightly dated visuals. If you do, you will notice a good action-packed game, which will put you on a quest to defeat a gang of Wildcats. In the meantime you will have to get dirty in hand-to-hand combat many times, and deal with challenges, which will require some effort but are not agonizingly difficult. They will not make you toss your computer around in anger, but will keep you interested in the game. In the meantime you will be roaming the streets of Union City, both on foot and in vehicles, which you will need to retrieve. For a game of its age it is very open and allows the player much freedom of action.
Great game re-releasedlok0812 | Oct. 17, 2013 | See all lok0812's reviews »
This Urban Chaos is a re-release of the similar game more than 10 years ago. It is a very enjoyable and fun third person action games with a lot of area to explore within each levels. Each of these levels served as a mission and it task you to complete one objective that are most of the time action heavy. With no time limit on each of these missions you are free to explore the area until you feel like to move on. The replayability is also further increased with the side missions that can be obtain. Definitely good to see great games being re-release and definitely a must get for any action fans.

Urban Chaos was one of those games that was ahead of its time but under-appreciated by the gaming community. The first thing that hits you is the atmosphere - a dark yet colourful urban setting, dynamic music that changes with the players pace, rubbish that gets kicked out of your way and tree leaves that sway out of your way when running past. Small details that all add up. The combat is based on combination moves and timing and although quite simple, it is very rewarding when you take out a small mob of enemies. You can see where Ubisoft got their influence for Assassins Creed combat. You can arrest people too and that gets you a bit of a reward. The driving may be quite clunky, but there is not much of it especially since you would most likely be exploring down dark alleys and side streets.
