Good game

I have never played Space Rangers before, but when I saw all the positive reviews for this HD remake of a game I decided to give it a try. And I've found it very good game after all.

First of all, the game looks and feels nice. Music reminded me of good old times - some electronic and ambient mixes. Graphics are not the most important thing in games for me, but if the game has good visuals it's always a big plus. Space Rangers look pretty.

Gameplay is simple but engaging. You can follow the story and choose the side to fight for, or you can just explore the space and trade. It is not that complicated as in X series, the process is easier, but nonetheless it is interesting.

And there are text quests as well!

All in all, very nice game. Check it out.

Funny game.

There are tons of things to do here. You can fight in the ongoing war against unstoppable machines(theme similar to Borg collective from Star Trek). You can be a pirate or a trader. Or you can combine all of those for maximized effect.

This game is a mix of open space exploration and combat, with well developed trading element. The galaxy is live, there is something going on all the time. Many jobs and missions to complete, sometimes popping out of nowhere. And there is a part of the game where you descend on a planet to complete a ground mission in full 3D. Purely RTS gameplay, where you have to destroy enemy base with mechs that you can construct from scratch combining many parts available - torsos, heads, legs or tracks, many different weapons.

There are also text, yes - text! - based missions. You are faced with tasks like participating in culinary contest, or trying to get something done in a place where beaurocracy is taken to whole new level of nastiness. Feels like some old, old adventure game.

Yes, all this in one game. Very satisfying experience.

Great fun

Space Rangers 2 was easily one of my favourite games as a young child. I can recall putting hours into it as I wasted away my childhood in glorious fashion. This game is essentially a remake of the cult classic but it also includes plenty of new content and tons of amazing HD textures which really bring the world to life. I am going to break down the new aspects of the game: The new pirate subplot really adds to the already lengthy campaign and makes you feel even more powerful than before. The extended soundtrack is also a delight to the ears and I absolutely adore it The new missions are also very fun to do. This is a must buy for any fans of space games

There are new mission, new planets, new weapons...basically it's an enhanced version of the original games, here you will find all the things you loved from it, plus new entries. A good choice for an RTS.

Rich galaxy

Space Ranger HD is the continuation of Space Ranger 2 by expanding the world that was released a long time ago. The game features a rich galaxy with different types of fractions, lot of variety missions, as well as an extensive trade route making this game a really immersive space simulation game. Similar to other space simulation, as the player you can choose to be part of the galaxy within this huge world and slowly progress to the plot of the story. If you are looking for a rich space simulation galaxy then definitely give this one a try.
