Interesting twist on Magicka

The first thing you notice about this game is the new graphics which are admittedly very cute and cartoony. However, that does not detract from the game because the overall tone and pacing of the game remains constant. The single player is still very humorous and the action is still very tense with it's high skill ceiling in figuring out the most situationally advantageous spell to cast. The main difference is that this game is pretty linear because of its side scroller type gameplay. It's not bad, but I did not enjoy it as much as the original. Multiplayer does benefit from this, however.
