Great Story Telling, and Great GameplayKveni | Nov. 11, 2014 | See all Kveni's reviews »
This game wasn't as good as Far Cry 3, but was totally better than the first one. This game showed how a HUGE open world could be continuously changing, with action around every corner. I really enjoyed the graphics of this game, just because they felt so real and life-like. The gameplay itself was amazing, and it all the controls felt smooth and perfect. This series has always been known for its story telling, and this game left no exception. The storyline is great, and has you wanting to continue progressing, just to find out what happens in the end. There's so much stuff to do as well, BESIDES the main quest. There are side quests to complete, and items to find. Altogether, a really great game
Very affordable and enjoyable shooter in African settingmichalmichal | Jan. 20, 2014 | See all michalmichal's reviews »
Although Far Cry 2 is not as great and visually breathtaking as the latest Fr Cry 3, it's still a good game. Although the characters cannot compare to the cast of Far Cry 3, they can still keep you interested in the story. Although the African setting is not as impressive as the tropical island of Far Cry 3, it's still looking good after all the years. Yes, surely Far Cry 2 is still a game to play if you haven't played it yet. And just as you might expect it's a great blend of several concepts - much shooting, some driving and exploration, some interaction with others, and many missions to complete. There are not many shooters in african setting, so I chose to check this one out and I was not disappointed. And it's so cheap these days, that it's an expense that's easy to justify.
