If you ever wanted to get into the FPS genre, but never knew which games to pick, then this is the best opportunity you could hope for. With a fantastic story, that leaves you with more questions than answers (in a good way), solid fun, engaging gameplay, interesting characters, excellent ambience created through spectacular visuals, sound effects and tracks that play just at the right moment, the Half-life series provides a truly one-in-a-lifetime experience. There is a reason why many seeing it as ahead of its time, it being perhaps the first reason why valve is so popular and successful today. Do note that the last game in the series (at the moment) ends with a huge cliffhanger, and Half-life 3 (the continuation) is not yet in sight, 7 years later. Do not be discouraged though, I'm sure that will change soon; by that time, you'll hopefully have joined the ranks of the Freeman fandom (no, I don't mean the Resistance; those guys suck anyway). This collection also includes Team Fortress Classic and the multiplayers available for the respective fans, which coupled with addition of the Game of the Year versions and the overall quality and quantity should make this a must-buy!

This pack includes many legendary games from the past, and probably you already know them because these are very old games. Although old, here are many gems worth playing, although many of these haven't aged very well. I love them and many of these I've already played them long ago in different platforms. Now on PC many of these are still being updated from time to time, which is nice. Although many fans still think these are the best games ever created, I'm not blind because of the nostalgia and prefer to be honest and realistic about my reviews. Here you can find the best collection of Half-Life games for the best price and if you don't have them, you should consider this pack instead of buying them individually. My favorites are the games for single player because they have one of the best stories I've found as a gamer in many games: Quite interesting, clever with many surprises, and with unforgettable characters. Now technically these games are old, and although some of them still look good for their age (the Half-Life 2 games, for example), they're noticeable old and play as such. You can find some interesting mods to customize and improve the visuals, but you can't wipe the feeling that you're playing games from early 2000's because of their looks, response, options and scripted actions. If you're okay with that, please go ahead and get these if possible, especially for the games with the Half-Life main campaign. They're still great to play and to enjoy for their stories even today.

A fantastic, well-aged series.

These games are a pinnacle of PC gaming, with a fantastic story and excellent graphics for their time, this game is well worth whatever you have to pay for it. Half-life 2 is fantastic and looks good for a game that was made over a decade ago. By the way, don't go looking for third game in the series, you'll be disappointed.

Top of it's game

A collection of an entire companies excellent contribution to the video game industry, Half Life Complete gives you everything you need to tell the story of Gordon Freeman. Everything here is a top candidate in it's genre and must play for virtually everyone. Half Life 1, while dated now, still plays very well and is more than useable to start you off. The Source engine remaster of the game is more easy to digest today from a visual standpoint though. The offshoots of HL1, Opposing Force and Blue Shift are not as essential, but also worth the time. After that, Half Life 2 is a now 12 year old game that looks great, plays great, and is just as fun as ever. To finish the series off as of today, the Episode 1 & 2 expansions are shorter but very well paced pieces of storytelling that will put you on the HL3 bandwagon like the rest of us. Half Life Complete is essential to any video game fan.

The Half Life series in a box!

Having given a rather lengthy review on Half Life 2 - I'll keep this one simpler and shorter. I can only say this pack is absolutely worth it - the Half Life experience is truly like no other. Whatever type of gamer you are, Half Life will show you a different universe, a different concept of a game, and of course revolutionising content that has indubitably inspired countless games that came after it. It is a second-to-none, unique, curiously convoluted story that will create an insatiable hole in your being, that can only be partially quenched by Half Life -flippin'- 3, 4, 5 and all the consecutive numbers to the right of the x-coordinate until the universe implodes. Yes, I'm a fan of the series, but also a recogniser of pure ingenuity and this series is sunk deep in it. Especially if you wait for a sale (which are very common and are now a standard of 75%), you are getting a deal of a lifetime.

Absolutely impressive collection

With Half-Life complete you are most likely getting more than you will ever need to keep you busy. It has the whole Half-Life series, with all the games, spin-offs and episodes, so you can follow the whole story and enjoy the excellent games, which became one of the most recognised franchises ever released. So what you are getting is Half-Life (with its re-edition - Half-Life: Source) and its add-ons; Half-Life: Opposing Force, and Half-Life: Blue Shift, Half-Life 2 with its additional titles: Half-Life 2: Lost Coast, Half-Life 2: Episode One, and Half-Life 2: Episode Two. There's also Half-Life 2: Deathmatch - latest incarnation of the Deathmatch game, always accompanying the Half-Life games in their various editions. And finally - Team Fortress Classic - a spin-off, which eventually led to creation of Team Fortress 2, that so many people are now playing. The whole set offers hundreds (if not thousands) hours of excellent fun, which could easily cost much more than the current price suggests.

To not play the Half Life series is a shame that you don't want to put yourself through. It has it all: strategy, adventure, gun action, puzzles, and an unforgettable story that made GabeN a god. With this pack, you get to have the full experience, from the original Half Life all the way to the Second Episode, and everything in between. Be prepared to never look at City 17 the same again.

The Half-life series revolutionized gaming itself. Arguably the most famous and well-made games by Valve, these classics will live on for many decades. Many people consider Half-Life 2 to be the best PC game of all time. And this game deserves to have it called that. This FPS is not a plain, boring new Call of Duty, this game is unique and has amazing graphics and gameplay for the time. This Half-life Complete pack is absolutely brilliant and deserves your time and money. I highly recommend to purchase this.

Action game series Half-Life takes place in the near future. The main character is Gordon Freeman cycle , theoretical physicist engaged in a secret research center Black Messa , where during one of the failed experiments is accidentally made kasakada resonance . The effect of open portals to the world of Xen , inhabited by an aggressive alien race who are trying to get to the Earth. The story of the first part of the cycle focuses on trying to get out of the complex research , and opponents of the protagonist are both aliens and Marines who are trying to prevent the escape of the resort . In a continuation of events take place several years later, and Freeman again must confront a stranger who had invaded the futuristic metropolis City 17 Initially, the game series Half-Life engine GoldScr exploit the opportunities , which is a modified version of the Quake Engine. The real jump in quality visuals ensured , however, only applies much more modern technology Source , which was first used in Half -Life 2, and then also in the original Half-Life ( Half-Life : Source ) . One of the curiosities on the Half-Life series is the silence of the protagonist . In any games Gordon Freeman does not speak a word of what happened to the subject of many jokes popular among players . Why this introduction? Because it is one of the best in terms of production plot. Really, this game does not count artwork and just playability! Older players will understand and manage it to them just the same statement . Take it if you do not. Really worth it!
