Reviews for Disciples III: Renaissance
Disciples 3: DisappointmentObsessor | May 11, 2015 | See all Obsessor's reviews »
I don't like to write negative reviews. Someone has to do it nonetheless. I had high hopes after Disciples 2. Probably why I was so disappointed when finally given the chance to try Disciples 3 for the first time. Many bugs, terrible voice acting, long and boring missions, clunky animations. I recoiled from the game after an hour, and couldn't keep playing. Even though I love Disciples franchise, and I'm writing this review from a position of die hard fan since the original Disciples circa de 2001(I know the game was first released in 1999, it came to my country in 2001). This one is just bad... I give it 50/100, because of how fond I am of the series as a whole. I own this game on Steam, played some... But it's still bad. And I'm heartbroken...
Not a bad title in the seriesmahon | June 30, 2014 | See all mahon's reviews »
While it is Disciples III: Reincarnation that finally manages to make Disciples III the game it was supposed to be from the very start, Renaissance is also an enjoyable game to play. It is similar to the Heroes of Might and Magic franchise but manages to escape being merely a clone of the original. The Disciples games managed to retain their own style and flavour, and while there are players who still consider Disciples II superior to Disciples III, the third installment of the series remains a very playable title. Of course, you can encouter some minor technical glitches or balance issues, but the game is still fun, especially to a fan of the genre. It's not an unforgettable classic, but another good game to spend some time with.
