Simply put. The best defense strategy game out there. You play as a team of X-Com members defending earth from an alien invasion. But why are they invading, what do they want? This is your mission to discover why they are here and take them on head to head. With ever advancing technology your team must overcome the alien menace and win back earth. Be prepared though as the complete edition offers more challenge than ever with it's expansion Enemy Within and a few smaller cosmetic and mission DLC. New alien enemies and bigger challenge than ever before. It is on my must play list. With over 100 hours so far put into it so far I'd recommend it to anyone who is a fan of Sci-Fi and turn based strategy games. I gave this a score of %95 because well, once you play the game you'll understand the reference. Simply brilliant.

The game focuses mostly on turn based combat though you will also spend a substantial amount of time within your own base which you can customize as you sit fit but only if you have the necessary resources and research. You can also customize your team that you send out especially if you get the DLCs which add a bit more immersion to the game. All in all the game is one piece of gem if you like fighting aliens with cool weapons and agents that in my opinion are better the MIB.

A sniper on overwatch... Two big guys behind rock piles with machine guns on each side to provide cover fire... Three elite soldiers in a pack formation move forward to a flanking position... Everything is set...One more turn and it's all over... You prepare yourself to finish this engagement... ...3... ...2... ...1... ...........But then it happens!!! To the right of your sniper, an alien scout appears and removes him from the equation before anyone can blink...and now your team is right in the middle of an alien ambush...I guess it's a good thing you decided to train a few extra units before this engagement! XCOM is a beautiful & engaging masterpiece of turn based strategy gaming. The battles are smooth and intuitive, yet provide a challenge which at times can even border on frustrating, but in a good way! The gameplay is almost instinctive to learn, but refuses to become predictable, and the unit upgrades make it impossible to walk away till you have achieved the next one. BUY IT...PLAY IT...PRAY THE NEXT ONE COMES OUT SOME TIME THIS LIFETIME!

Being new to the XCOM series when Enemy Unknown was released I had no idea what I was missing out on. This neat strategy game has it all; a decent story arc, characters you get invested in and upgrades that really make the difference instead of basic stop gaps. Enemy Unknown kept me playing for hours, I was lost in that "one more level" fever. I felt that it was so complete in itself, that when Enemy Within was released, I was skeptical of how they could improve the game. With instant action, all new story missions, new characters and brand new map objectives, Enemy Within, was no add-on, it was a completely different game in itself. The sheer amount of content in this game is enough to keep me entertained, but bolstered with addictive and challenging game play for all levels, it is a must have for anyone's games library.

...of a great reboot to an already great franchise. If you liked XCom Enemy Unknown but for whatever reason haven't got it so far, here is your chance to get your hands on every little bit that came out about this game. Except the main game and the little addons, it contains the Enemy Within expansion which brings the game to a whole new level. Additions and gameplay mechanics that make you wonder why they weren't there in the first place. Stop reading and go buy it if you like tactical games. You won't regret it.
