Ridiculous 80's fun!

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is a cyberpunk shooter that combines elements from 80's flicks such as Predator, Aliens, Blade Runner, Commando and much, much more. If you liked one or more of those movies, you will absolutely love FarCry 3: Blood Dragon. The gameplay is exactly the same as FarCry 3, but reskinned more or less. You have a smaller island to explore, complete with lazer-dinosaurs, lazer-tigers, cyber sharks, and yeah, you get the idea. There are new guns, like a plasma mini-gun, a lazer assault-rifle, the pistol from Robocop, a purple bow, and a giant flamethrower. Prepare for huge amounts of awesome one liners and puns during combat. The soundtrack is pretty awesome too. Experience a synthesized-tech beat while you slaughter your way through cyber commandos and other ridiculous variations of the local wildlife. If you like or love any of the things I've just mentioned, buy this game right now. Do it. Overall, FarCry 3 : Blood Dragon is a reskinned version of the main game, with 80's extras. The great music, awesome cutscenes and ridiculous gameplay will keep you hooked (and wowed). 10 / 10

Solid open world FPS worth way more than the price

I bought this game when it was on discount on GMG and so surprisingly good, in fact, that had I known, I would not have held out for a discount. The game is solid because it is highly immersive with lots of variety. Before writing on, I have 100% completed this game under medium difficulty in under 10 hours (all achievements). The story was very fun and successfully relays the ‘80s movies vibe. The over-the-top story really helps with the immersion because you know you are a super commando and you are supposed to be able to rampage and take much damage and not die. This is opposed to the original (far cry 3) where the normal guy main character just goes on to massacre a whole island of people. The gameplay is solid with a lot of variety. The game allows you to take a guns-ablazing approach or you can stealthily disable alarms and pick off the enemy one by one (somewhat reminds me of metal gear solid 2). There are many types of weapons, from stealthy melee, standard rifles to miniguns (and death-rays!). There are sufficient locations that encourage different types of game play from outposts, laboratories, and even offshore platforms and ships. Also there are dragons in the game. One thing that could be said may be relatively the short-length, but I think it’s actually a strength because it lets the game end on a high before any hint of repetition or fatigue. I wholeheartedly recommend this game, even at the full price. Nothing is ever perfect but this game is realy close... 90/100. PS: A little introduction to my gaming preferences, I mainly play first person games, e.g. CS:GO, Skyrim, Killing Floor, as well as RTS like Starcraft 2.

Very funny!

Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon is a very funny FPS. If you want to laugh all the time then go play it. The Story is simple. You are Rex Colt and your mission is to... umm... save the world... Yeah...nothing too spectacular :) The gameplay remains just like in Far Cry 3 and your playground is much smaller now. You level up to the maximum to become the ULTIMATE BADASS! You have different weapons now but also some weapons from Far Cry 3. You will see neons everywhere. On enemies, building, weapons, walls, vehicles and much more. I had a lot of fun time playing this game. It is really worth its price and I recommend it!

Ridiculous And I Like It.

This spin-off to the popular Far Cry series is the game's designers letting their imagination run wild. The colours featured are a gorgeous pallet of neon purples and pinks that will really have you in awe at points. This is of course, best experienced on a high-end machine that can run the game with maximum graphical settings. The story is nonsensical in the best possible way and doesn't subtract from the overall experience. In fact, it enhances the experience by allowing the player to focus on the gameplay and not the trivial motives behind the protagonists quest. If you enjoy over-the-top weaponry and dialogue then you're in for a treat. This game is packed to the brim with cheesy one-liners and ridiculous weaponry that will have you genuinely laughing out loud at points. The opening tutorial is extremely well done and sets the tone for the remainder of the game. To summarise, the game doesn't take itself seriously and neither should you. The action is frantic and will keep you occupied for hours. It may be a short ride, but it certainly is fun while it lasts.
