Ever since falling in love with the Lord of the Rings Lego franchise from the same developer TT Games. This has been an instant buy for me. And after about 20-30 hours in to the game now, I can say it hasn't disappointed. It has the same charm and funfactor as it's predecessors. Even if you're just a Tolkien fan, get this game. It's Amazing!!

LOTR and LEGO. What more could you ask?

I have played a lot of Lego videogames, but this is the best of all. I mean, is the story of the Hobbit, with the extra scenes of the film (and book obviously) and with that characteristic humor of Lego franchise.

The graphics are awesome, the gameplay too. So... BUY IT!

There And Almost Back Again

If you played LEGO: Lord of the Rings - and I'm guessing if you're thinking about purchasing this game that you did - you will enjoy this game. It brings the same humour and charm from that game over to the beloved story of Bilbo Baggins and his great adventure with Thorin's company of dwarves.

Like the Lord of the Rings game, there are plenty of side quests and extra areas which allow you to get a lot of replayabillity out of the game, but you won't feel like you missed out if you just play the main story.

Sadly though for book readers, the game only goes up to where the second movie did. I expect the third film will be added as DLC later on but I can't help but be a little disappointed that it wasn't here already.

Great game

The voice work and music was so dead accurate it was like it was taken from the films. Accompanied with familiar epic score going well with the cut scenes.

During gameplay when things get a little hectic and messy you can occasional glitches but it's fine sometimes it's funny to see them.

LEGO achievements never fail to be so random and somewhat difficult to get because you have to get to the most goofy situations in order to unlock them.

Astonishing

Do you love Lego Lord of the Rings? Then you will love Lego The Hobbit too! The game is plenty of cutscenes that reproduce the ones saw in the movies, and they are well done: even if you haven't seen the movies, you will understand the story. The gameplay is plenty of things to do, with free roaming areas. You can always play the game by beating story chapters, then clean up the rest in free roaming mode, unlocking new characters etc.

The third movie isn't here, sadly, and probably will be added later as DLC.
