Reviews for Monday Night Combat
Interesting concept that ran out of steamNucularS | Oct. 28, 2014 | See all NucularS's reviews »
Monday Night Combat turns a first-person arena tower defense into a spectator sport with its own mascot and halftime show, which is certainly a cool and refreshing concept. The bad news is that the servers are usually empty since the developers abandoned the game in favor of a free-to-play rehash (which did not really go anywhere either). It is a shame that this game ran out of steam before reaching its full potential, because the ghost (ninja) class was wicked fun to play.
Great and fun game.MafuMafu | June 23, 2014 | See all MafuMafu's reviews »
It's hilarious, it's fun and it's crucial that you play it ONLY on Monday. The only sad part is that it's somewhat hard to find people to play with, since his F2P brother took his place. But, if you check the Community, I'm sure that you'll be able to find a group (Although small) of people that still play it. This one is a must. Don't hesitate and buy it now.
Interesting blend, but not the best game.bcf623 | June 11, 2014 | See all bcf623's reviews »
This game honestly was fun for a short time, but that may have been due to the feeling of it being different from other games I have played. This feeling was because Monday Night Combat is a third-person shooter with the feel of a MOBA type game, all set up as a form of a game show or competition. If you want to see how it plays beforehand, I'd recommend you play Super Monday Night Combat which is free to play, but does not have the largest player base. SMNC, however, is an improvement to this game in more ways than one.

Despite the second game got out and it's f2p, this one still gives a fun experience if you have friends to play with. Enjoy this new e-sport in which you have to defend your money-ball in order to win with the help of your teammates and robots.

Monday Night Combat is a relatively fun game that blends shooting mechanics with the strategic chaos of the MOBA genre. Through this, Monday Night Combat is a relatively more open experience that allows for players more accustomed to shooting games to better transition themselves over to the more rigid demands of a MOBA. Fans of either genre should easily be able to find something to like about MNC. However, despite these positive features, it is still most definitely a MOBA at heart. Players who are not a fan of MOBAs in the least will not be able to overlook this element despite the rest of the game, ultimately still limiting the game's reach.

At its core MNC is a fairly simple game, its attempting to be a 3rd person moba without actually confining itself, the game is starting to show its age now though and was eventually replaced with the Free To Play SMNC which tanked pretty hard, its worth picking up if you can find people who still play it but from what i remember the community was pretty small.

This is such a fun game, the gameplay is pretty emergent and honestly I found it to be quite a change compared to most multiplayer games although the community is currently fairly small so finding other players might be a bit difficult but the blitz mode is pretty entertaining on it's own anyway.
