Fine enough DLC content

The Cold Cold Heart DLC is a worthwhile addition, if a bit shallow, for Batman Arkham Origins.

Most people want to know one thing...is the DLC worth the price? In this case, "maybe." Cold Cold Heart doesn't offer any major plot points or necessary information, but does a good job of putting you back into the Origins world for a few hours.

New features revolve around Mr. Freeze, with the most notable being the Freeze henchman that are capable of shooting ice guns at you. This is a cool effect, and reminiscent of the BAS episodes.

Buy this DLC if you are a massive Batman fan, and have followed the Arkham series from the beginning. Casual fans may want to think twice about the limited value in return.

I cannot recommend this to just anyone. This is specifically for those who are big fans of the game and story. Not that it is bad. It is not by any means a bad DLC. However when you get down to it, when you have no new villain to fight, the story only takes up about 4 hours of your time, and the new stages added arent too difficult if you are an experienced player, to the casual gamer, I do not recommend it. For those who love the game however, dive right in!

Cold Cold Heart is a continuation of the main games Mr. Freeze content... it adds weapons ice based and a few new moves to keep you from freezing to death. All of this dlc should have been written into the main story with freeze looking for his wife. Charging for this little bit of extra seems to me to be milking the customer.

Batman Arkham Origins was neither good, nor bad game. The biggest problem of it was the existence of Arkham City. Origins didn't add anything new, anything different from the previous game.

And in the DLC Cold Cold Heart they didn't add a new villain. Instead they decided to tell the story of Mister Freeze. It is not bad, but it is not a revelation either! It is well-told, and it is pretty long for a DLC, it took me some 3 or 4 hours due to some additional collectibles.

There is only one new feature here - ice. All new things such as takedowns and some gadgets now are based on ice. It is fun. And there is only one boss fight here. Apparently, with Mr. Freeze. It is done just like in the main game. There are 3 stages of the fight, and it is rather difficult.

All in all, I can't recommend this DLC to everyone. Those who liked the main game and want one more villain and a boss fight, take it.
