Chernobyl Terrorist Attack

This game is an fps that takes place in Chernobyl and well thats the only interesting thing I can tell you about it. The gameplay is fairly generic and well really just average nothing really special about this game at all it doesn't stand out from anything you can find in the bargain bin. The weapon selection is pretty boring just like the gameplay I guess that just adds to it you have your generic assault rifle, knife, pistol combo. It does look pretty though I like the graphics quite a lot they seem very dark and atmospheric I almost thought it was Unreal Engine 3 because the graphics looked really good. If this game ever goes on sale for like 5 dollars I recommend you buy it cause its definitely worth checking out over its graphics alone since the gameplay isn't very special.

not that good

Mikagee | Jan. 18, 2013 | See all Mikagee's reviews »

the game looked decently ok until i bought it, now it is meh

There is alot of bugs in the game and it lags quite a bit, since the game came out quite a while ago the graphics arent the best i wouldnt recommend anyone to buy this.

The game has a really bad AI, they do stupid things which makes the game feel really unrealistic. The sounds of the game though are really good , explosions and voices are decent to make the characters feel real.

overall i would not recommend anyone to buy this and save money for a better fps game.

Best budget shooter I have played in a while

I've played a lot of budget shooters over the past couple of years and this one is close to being on top. Of course your expectations can't be too high going into any budget shooter, they are after all budget titles. What makes this one special? well it's the combat and the AI. This game has some of the best, not the best but some of the best AI I have seen in a game of recent times, that is ANY game of any budget. They make the game fun because it's challenging and they react differently. The AI will run off and hide behind cover, throw grenades, fire rocket launchers and zig zag across the screen to escape your fire.

The hit point registration seems to not exist which is annoying and some enemies will take an entire clip of the AK to finally lay down, be careful some will still get back up for more. But the AK weapon seems a bit weak compared to the rest. It's the main weapon you will get ammo from because it's the default enemy weapon but you have plenty of more good weapons including a very powerful shotgun. One blast of the shotty and they won't be getting back up. The grenades work very well against groups of enemies. The weapon balance over all adds to the fun of the game.

The shooter is basic, the graphics are fine, the story is alright and that's all you can really ask of a budget shooter. This one beats out most of the City Interactive titles on display around GMG so give this one a go!

An average shooter

This is not a game with any originality to it, but what Chernobyl Terrorist Attack does, it does well. Solid combat is backed up by nice graphics, fairly good voice acting, and an average story. This isn't a game to write home about, but it also isn't one you'll be disappointed over purchasing, either.

The levels are large and varied, as advertised. There's plenty of places to hole up, although most of your time will be spent charging into battle. You can edge around certain conflicts, which I found to be pretty cool, but if the alarm's raised, and those guys you duped are still visible, they'll be happy to join in the next fight.

Overall, a decent game, and something modern done in a fairly original setting for once.

Boring game

Chernobyl Terrorist attack is a classic FPS where you explore some location near Chernobyl nuclear power plant. The game is not really good, because is linear and the enemy AI is really bad. After a few hour of gameplay you will be also annoyed by the many bugs that afflict the game

Nice looks

I like the style of Chernobyl. I don't know what it is but it's the visuals that get me really hooked. It's sorta cartoony and realistic at the same time...very attractive. Still, I'll give it an eight out of a ten..It looks better than most shooters today in my opinion anyway. Level design is a little bit average but not totally horrible. At the very least, it's not super buggy or anything. There is a lack of variety though. Seven weapons and no multieplayer is a huge let down. Ai doesn't replicate that human feeling in multiplayer games. Good game for the price though.

awful

This is one of the worst first person shooters I have ever played, so don't get distracted by the title. The graphics are mediocre, the gameplay laggy and buggy, and there are no more than eleven levels, so you'll be finished quite soon, which is a good thing in this game I tell you.

But I've got to hand it to this game, the explosions and environmental effects are pretty nice. They really give you the idea that you're in a war. Of course that's not a reason to buy the game.

So just reconsider before buying this, so you won't buy a game you don't like.
