Reviews for Stranded

Not much to it.

Visually and thematically, this game reminded me of The Dig. You're stranded on an alien world. There's no dialogue and you are left to wander the planet. It plays very much like Proteus, meaning there's very little to the game and it's more of a semi-interactive experience. There are 15 screens, most of which offer nothing but passage to the next. There are no puzzles or objects to click on. You walk from one screen to the next, and if you do so in the correct sequence, there is a short cutscene and then you are asked if you want to start over. I was incredibly disappointed with this game. There's really nothing here. It looks and sounds very intriguing, but there's nothing to it. I can't even tell if there's a reasoning behind the way you are supposed to progress through the game. It's a shame, because if this were the intro level to a much larger game, it would be a decent start. Aside from the lack of content though, there is another problem. Your character walks incredibly slow, and often not even to the spot you click on. When there's nothing to do but walk to the next screen, this can become boring very quickly. I cannot recommend it, especially at full price.
