How do you take a once done idea and make it better? MW2 does exactly that. Soap continues his journey with Captain Price to stop "That one Russian guy". Don't get me wrong, the campaign is great. It was the first campaign I beat on Veteran. The Spec Ops mode is also very fun, but only with a buddy. Lastly, the multiplayer is even better than COD4. With customizable killstreaks, new maps, modes, and perks make the multiplayer super addicting. Must own.

One of the best COD games & best FPS games

Great story, great campaign, great gameplay, great voice acting & great coop (spec ops missions).

People under rate this title because of the perceived lack of originality, but I think they still had an interesting story to tell and a great single player campaign to go along with it. The fact that you get legitimately challenging spec ops missions to do with a buddy is just icing on the cake. It's surprisingly hard to find good coop games, even in the current/last generation, and the modern warfare series did it right.

Think of left 4 dead, with call of duty guns, but without hordes of zombies or special infected. It's a lot of fun.

The competitive multiplayer is, to m knowledge, still active today but has always had complaints of hackers ruining the game, so I've pretty much stayed out of it.

If you like good single player campaigns, if you like first person shooters, this is a must own.

The Last Call of Duty

In short – this is the last Call of Duty game worth playing. The story is an entertaining Hollywood-blockbuster of a ride. If you stick to the script, that is. Walk off the path and suddenly you are no longer in the middle of a warzone. But if you behave, the game rewards with one heck of a ride. Multiplayer offers even more fun. But again, there is a catch – watch out for the hackers. Modern Warfare 2 is a great way to end the series, but it is a letdown from its predecessor in almost every way.
