Reviews for MySims

Mostly mediocre

MySims does not deserve the Sims title to be in it. It really has mostly nothing to do with it. You have been warned. And if taken as a non-Sims game it's just... mediocre. The aesthetics are really kiddish, but the over-emotional faces are just creepy; I don't like them. As for the gameplay, it's strangely a fairly linear story, and not the usual Sims model. You explore the world, find resources and build things. Like the fully usual RTS. Yeah, MySims is just a mediocre RTS game hidden under the Sims label.

Not really a Sims game

It's clear from the first sight of this game that it not designed to appeal to the average Sims player. The game was obviously designed to appeal more to kids, and so if you're looking for a new Sims game to play, this probably isn't it. The first major change is how the game is not a completely open simulation game and there is actually a story and unlockable areas on a map which is completely pre-determined. You will have to explore the world in order to find resources called essences in order to build things. This will take you to new places and you can use these essences to more build unique things. The game is good for a few hours of entertainment, but it is in no way a traditional Sims game and you're unlikely to come back to it in a hurry.
