Good classic FPS

Painkiller Overdose is a FPS equal to the original and the expansion Out of Hell. If you want more maps and hours of gameplay of Painkiller you will enjoy this game. The main feature that characterize this game is again the possibility to choose between a group of abilities to improve your abilities against the enemies. You can gain new abilities completing a level in a certain way. If you want an FPS with a lot of non-stop action, buy this game

Entertaining for a while

Fun for some time, this game really doesn't have anything that makes it outstand over many other FPS. The single-player is short, multiplayer is boring, really not a game I would recommend except to fans of the series.

Mediocore.

If you haven't heard of Painkiller - it's a series of really fun Serious Sam-like first person shooters. Painkiller: Overdose adds 16 new levels, 6 new weapons, and 40 new monsters. It may sound nice, but the only useful and satisfying weapon is the explosive crossbow. All the other weapons are utterly bad/useless. The gameplay is dull, not as the other Painkiller games, and the charm which made the series good is gone. As much as I would love to like this game, I do not. I would not recommend Overdose to anyone.

Awesome shooter.

This game is a great. action-packed, FPS. There is no story, which usually isn't good, but it's just so fun to shoot everything on sight in this game. The graphics are dated but that's because the game is rather old, and it also helps the game run on older computers. There are tons of new levels and monsters to kill that make the game enjoyable for hours upon hours. The multiplayer is great, but there are little to no people playing it anymore. I would recommend this game to any FPS or Action game fan looking for a fantastic shoot-em-up experience.

Great FPS

This game is awesome. There are an insane amount of missions and monsters to kill with loads of weapons to kill them with. The graphics are dated, but that doesn't effect the amazing gameplay, and helps it run on older computers. The objective of the game is to kill everything and it has a very high replay value. There is no story to the game so if you want an immersive storyline this isn't the game for you, but if you love top-notch FPS action this is a perfect game for you! I would recommend this game to anyone.

The last good Painkiller for today

That is the last stand for Painkiller series. I recommend you playing this one and omit the further titles unless you are a hopeless fan keeping your eyes wide shut. Graphics are good as well as music. Enemies and maps cool, the protagonist interesting but the potential of the story wasted. The same goes for bosses - no thinking, just shooting at uninteresting and oversized mobs. Really, a bit of creativity and Overdose would have got a bigger note from me. Painkiller: Overdose serves also new weapons though most of them are just graphic mods of the originals. Still, a bit of fresh air is a good thing here. For 5$ you will have a decent shooter but do not expect anything as nearly good as Painkiller Black Edition.
