AMAZING GAME 4 ANYONE

So I've been playing this game since the Beta and boy is this game so much better now!! Especially with GMG selling the game for this low of a price you HAVE to pick it up!! The Elder Scrolls Online Experience is amazing for plenty of reasons. There are of course plenty of down sides to this but the positives out weight the negatives by a ton! Now that the game is b2p the company does get a ton more support. Either way this is a MMO so please keep that in mind. Of course it you're looking for a sequel to Skyrim this isn't it. So remember this game is a multiplayer game based in Tamriel.

This is the Elder Scrolls game you were looking for.

First off, I've picked this game recently, so I have absolutely no bias from allegedly poor beta versions, hence my review will be free of irrelevant QQ. Now, let me be quick about it. Are you a fan of Morrowind or Oblivion? Have you tried other MMORPG's only to find out that they posses depth of a puddle? Well then, do I have great news for you! To me, ESO feels like a multiplayer Morrowind with improved combat, updated, fancy graphics, and a full voice over. The main story you get to experience on your own is definitely on par with previous games in the series. Yes, I've said it - it is on par with any single-player RPG, which in the world of MMOs is something that I've never got to experience elsewhere. The world is rich, the lore is deeply accurate, single-player adventure is amazingly lengthy. Now, I will not get into describing the typical MMO jabber about PvE, PvP, or whatever. All I wanted was an Elder Scrolls experience, and I got one.

You'd be nuts to pass this up!

I've been playing ESO since the Beta. Yes, it's true that you will be deeply disappointed if you expect this to be a successor to Skyrim. Let's be obvious folks - this is NOT a single player RPG, it's an MMO. It's not at all like Skyrim, so don't play it expecting it to be a Skyrim clone. It's not even a kissing-cousin. Now that's out of the way, I will defer to others who have detailed ESO so articulately. All I can say is that this is well worth the price it's going for. (This is literally a steal: BUY IT NOW). I only wish this were the XBoxOne version. I already purchased the PC version. Actually, I originally bought the console version, but when that was delayed indefinitely, I took advantage of a deal being offered by Amazon: purchase ESO for the PC, then migrate to the console version for a small additional fee. Only I didn't get to migrate for that fee bc I failed to activate it on time. So now I'm looking at buying it for my XBox One at full price. So, I'm waiting for the price to drop. I learned my lesson with SWTOR... Paid full price only to see the price drop dramatically within a matter of a few months. Even though I missed out on that offer - I must have missed the fine print - I still believe this game is well worth the money. Consider giving it a shot. You have got nothing to lose, especially now it is F2P. There is no compelling reason to subscribe. Seriously, the monthly fee provides some dubious benefits like costumes and things that one can easily do without. If you love RPG's and enjoy MMO's (and yes, one can certainly solo quite comfortably through ESO) please buy this. You won't regret it. I promise you that.

Leaps and bounds better

People rightfully bashed this game for the watered-down, bland MMO trife it was upon release. However, a while later, it's morphed into a king amongst MMO's. Amazing quests and characters, gorgeous environments, a great leveling and class system, and smooth, fun gameplay rarely seen in the genre. A great TES game with the best parts of the MMO genre. Give it a try.

So much better since it went Buy To Play...

Serrin | June 21, 2015 | See all Serrin's reviews »

I was in the Beta and it sucked. I borrowed a friends account after the change to make it Buy To Play (no subscription fee any more) and I'm having a blast. The game is so much better now! I really like it and will be buying my own copy as soon as it goes on sale (sorry but $60 is just too much for a PC game these days). I definitely recommend you give it a try.
