When DOOM meets The Terminator

KingTed | Dec. 22, 2015 | See all KingTed's reviews »

Hard Reset is an oldschool First Person Shooter and when I say oldschool I mean "Like DOOM or Quake". It's an old-fashioned game with a straightforward concept : you explore the maps and kill everything in sight. Just like DOOM, except that you won't shoot demons this time. The story is pretty basic. You're Fletcher, some "cop" under the orders of The Corporation. Your job is to protect Bezoar City (The Cyberpunk city where the game takes place) from the robots coming from the outside. It's man versus machine all over again. The maps are linear but there is a good chunk of secret to discover in each level and the EX mode gives you the right incentive to start the game over and over again. The gameplay is intense and well-crafted. The game looks pretty decent. And the game is even longer than before in this Extended Edition. What else would you ask for?
