A Game of Dwarves: Ale Pack DLC
Third party DRM: SteamThis game requires a free Steam account to play.
Requires A Game of Dwarves (base game) to use this DLC.
The Ale Pack is designed to bring more happiness to the daily lives of Dwarves. Because after all, what is a Dwarf without beer?
The Ale Pack provides your settlement with the legendary Ale Tree and Mead Barrel. Never again will your Dwarves need to brave the deep underground with dry throats.
A drunken Dwarf is a happy Dwarf, and a happy Dwarf is a productive Dwarf.
The Ale Tree:
A crop of Dwarven legend and proof of their ingenious idea of extracting ale directly from certain trees. Having a worker extract ale from the Ale Tree provides the settlement with Happiness. It can be found in the Special Crops category where it only waits to be built.
The Mead Barrel:
What is the second best thing after drinking mead? Having it stand around in barrels of course! Having a couple of Mead Barrels as decorations is a great way to increase your settlement’s happiness. Build them from the Mixed Decorations category and give your Dwarves a proper living environment.

This DLC for the game A Game Of Dwarfes, is a good, but extremely minor and small DLC for the game. Throughout the core game A Game of Dwarfes, you have to complete missions with the various Dwarfes you can collect and create in your own way throughout the lengthy and involving campaign. This DLC adds some new content including a mead barrel and they all serve to help you keep your oh so previous Dwarfes happy in the game. This is essential as it allows them to complete tasks and do the things necessary to increase your productivity and continue through the game's campaign mode. In short, if you like the core game of Dwarfes you should get this DLC as the price is so low it's worth the small amount of content

This is a very small dlc. Doesn't add much but then again it doesn't cost much either. Also I do like the fact that its not one of those dlcs that you feel like should have been in the game to begin with otherwise the game would suck. I hate it when companies do that. This just adds some ways to keep your dwarves happy which is easy enough to do anyways *shrugs*

Though it seems this DLC will make it easier to keep your dwarves happy, it's really not needed. As the game is balanced, just covering the floor with the most basic of wooden planks will fill your happiness meter to the max, thus rendering these happiness boosters useless.
A little DLC for this dwarves,DukePaul | Dec. 11, 2012 | See all DukePaul's reviews »
This DLC is not a big thing, only a few items that make your dwarves a bit happy, they will love the Mead Barrels and the ale from the tree if you extract it with a worker. The price is very cheap, almost nothing, so if you love Game of Dwarves, the Ale Pack DLC is nice to add more content to your game.
