Completely serviceable

Codebreakers is in a bit of an odd place. By itself, it's perfectly acceptable. If you didn't know it was a piece of downloaded content, you wouldn't think twice about its appearance early on in the game. It's actually entirely possible to miss it. It plays pretty much like any other mission in the game, and you won't remember many of the details after you've finished. That makes it a decent opportunity to help gain experience for your troops, but that was never an issue with the game anyway. It's hard to whole heartedly recommend it, but it doesn't have any real flaws either. Just don't expect anything going in.

Completionists only

OK, this mission may be interesting. It may be very well done. It fits the game well and expands it with additional gameplay and story. But hey, it's unbelievably short. I doubt if it can keep you busy for an hour, or even half of it. I would recommend it to collectors and completionists only, or maybe hardcore fans of the game. It's not bad by any means, but it's simply too short to be worth the money in my opinion. Originally it was only available as a preorder bonus but now it can be purchased separately. So if you missed the preorders, you can still fill the gap in your collection.
