Montas on Early Access:

Montas is being developed as a two man project, one artist and one programmer working without funding. The scope of the full game requires a slightly bigger team, a studio and funding to cover living costs of each team member. The Early Access version of Montas is a result of two years dedication while working full time jobs. As we continue to develop the final version of Montas, any significant improvements to AI or Game Mechanics will be included in the Early Access version. We feel that Early Access is a great way to engage with the community, test integration of Virtual Reality peripherals and receive feedback on the game while supporting development of the final product.

Support for the team to develop full time will allow the full version of Montas to be complete within a year of release on Early Access. The price of Montas on Early Access and the price of the full game will remain $10. Those who purchase Montas on Early Access will also receive the Collector's Edition on release of the final game, which includes the digital Artbook and Soundtrack all together valued at $30.

fantastic horrific ride!

ok, so it's not fully polished, and the gameplay can be a little buggy at times, but this game has so much potential. they really don't make many good suspenseful horror games anymore and people mostly just rely on jump scares, not atmosphere. this game takes all the atmosphere you can muster and shoves it all into one awesome little package! it's very reminiscent of the old silent hill feeling games, and the first person aspect along with the descent graphics and audio mixing makes this for a great experience. You will be buying into an un-finished game though so watch out. it is VERY buggy at times and i would recommend to wait until it has all the kinks worked out. still very good!

Montas is an early access indie horror game that shows a lot of promise. I was not let down by the scares. Even when there wasn't a monster out there, you felt like there was going to be one. It really pulls off a great atmosphere, perfect for a horror game. Sound and graphics are good, and I like the more open environments. It is a bit buggy, but right now I would say its a decent horror game. I would say buy it when it is finished though.
