The graphics, soundtrack and artwork in this game were beautifully made and presented and I personally found the weird non-word communications quite entertaining, however the story forcibly tried to make you feel things. They gave you plenty of time to prepare yourself for the emotional bits because the arcs of the story were rather... cliché. Still, excluding the awkward keyboard controls, it was a sweet and endearing story told about the journey two brothers take to save their dying Father. I would recommend you play it purely to appreciate the art, but is it worth the full price? That's up for debate.

Every now and then, appears a game that brings something new to the gaming society, something different than the other concurrent, rather replicating, sets of games. Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is one of those games. Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons has an epic, faerie tale-like story, filled with mythological concepts and emotional moments, mainly discussing the story of two orphan brothers making a journey to find a cure for their sick father, with an exceptional demonstration of the bond between the old and the young brother, and how every single one of them is taking care of each other. the story is combined with stunning visuals and great music, but the most distinctive aspect of Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, beside the great story, is the gameplay, which requires you to take control of the two brothers simultaneously, and coordinate between them to be able to solve the simple, yet creative, puzzles. Another aspect of this game that must be mentioned is the relying on gestures rather than spoken language to communicate with the characters ( they do speak some imaginary gibberish language), and this gives a theatrical value to the game, and makes you really feel that this game is in fact, a work of art. I understand this game may not be for every one, but for true gamers, I think this is a must have.

Few games can call themselves art. Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is one of those. This emotional adventure game uses the gameplay to tell a poignant coming of age story set in a minimalist yet beautiful world. Completed with an absolutely gorgeous art and great soundtrack, it's an incredible experience that worth your time.

I've heard rumors of a game different from any other. With an interesting gameplay and great graphics. I couldn't wait more, so I bought it for a few bucks. Boy I was Surprised ! With fantastic intro and neverseenbefore gameplay, I was in for a treat. This game is awesome in every way ! My kids and nephews are playing it like crazy (strict multiplayer needed!) and I must say that they are having a lot of fun. With lots of comic situations and no violence, this is a BULLZEYE !
A sad, endearing story and an absolutely beautiful world1N07 | May 12, 2015 | See all 1N07's reviews »
Brothers - A Tale Of Two Sons is a sad, endearing story and an absolutely beautiful world full of optional interactions and is one of the most emotional games I've ever played... Brothers has a one-of-a-kind control mechanic(Controller only) where you use the left stick to move one of the characters and the right to move the other, while using the corresponding trigger for each character to interact with the world. It's very simple yet works well. Though you might find it difficult at first to move two characters independent of each other at the same time. The gameplay consist mostly of simple yet ingenious and fun environmental puzzles, some fairly simple platforming and great storytelling done through actions and the environment rather than narration. The only complaints would be that it's rather short seeing as I completed it in about 3 hours according to steam, though I did stop to enjoy the world every now and then and otherwise didn't speed through it. It's still absolutely worth it's price. That and though I understand that most of the game's challenge comes from having to control both the characters at the same time(which works absolutely fine and the game should probably be played so first), I still think there should be an option to play it in Coop. That would definitely merit the game a second playthough.
