The first episode of Adam's Venture is an enjoyable experience if you like puzzle games and also don't mind an occasional bug or two. The story is really weak, juggling with stuff that ranges from Templars to The Garden of Eden. The other two characters in the game are shallow, you know nothing about them , you will have a conversation with each at the very beginning, after which you won't see them until the end. For an adventure, that is not ideal. Adam himself is practically just a bunch of pixels with an incredibly poor voice acting. The game itself is mediocre-looking, despite using Unreal 3, and you'll stumble into a number of texture bugs for sure. The platforming is simple and unimaginative, but some of the puzzles are OK. Ironically, though, the first one the game throws at you happens to be both the best and the hardest one. The rest are too easy and not varied enough to stand out. They're just ok. So, if you're just mad about solving puzzles, or you'd fancy a bit of Indiana Jones-ish adventure, this game might be a good way to spend 2 hours.

The Search for the Lost Garden is the first game in the episodic Adam's Venture adventure games. The graphics are built on Unreal 3 and are simply gorgeous and the story is built in a Telltale Games way, so it's open for new episodes. Though, the controls are clunky sometimes and the puzzles are just too simple 1/2 of the time. If you get over that, The Search for the Lost Garden is awesome!
