Fun old school game

A sequel to the original and right from the get go you are faced with hordes of aliens that would just love to taste your blood, fortunately they are easily disposed of with one of the many types of guns at your disposal ranging from simple handguns to futuristic cannons. As you work you way trough the sixteen missions you can upgrade your gear at shops or if you get lucky you might find something better, though my experience is that it doesnt happen often and so you mostly rely on the shop for equipment upgrades.

The single player campaign is sadly only four to five hours long however offer a survival mode in which you can try to set the highest score holding out as long as possible against an endless stream of aliensThe game has a nice storyline though be it simple, it even has an alternate ending, it does lack any cinematics but does pretty well without them nonetheless. Worth it at a cheap price

Alien Shooter: Vengeance - review

carlyle | Jan. 16, 2013 | See all carlyle's reviews »

New chapter of the esteemed saga shooter with a top view of the house Sigma Team, unashamedly retro in setting but with a considerable depth - thanks to the skill of the characters - and characterized by amount of blood, dismemberment and explosions on the screen. The game, in addition to the single player campaign, has other game modes (in addition to multiplayer) as the survival. The game features a mode very similar to the old glories of the past, albeit with graphics more suited to today's standards, that will satisfy fans and nostalgic, but may disappoint those accustomed to more challenging games.

Massive carnage

Make no mistake, this is one bloody game. If you're into bits and pieces flying everywhere, Alien Shooter: Vengeance may just be for you. The simple gameplay belies a rather immersive and addictive little game, and there's far more here than the price point hints at.

Graphically, the game does look like an older title, but the details are very much in the blood and gore. Basically, there's all these ravenous extraterrestrial beings, and you need to kill them. Blood is everywhere with this one, and it stays put after battle, too. Your environment changes, and is truly what you make of it. Controls are well laid-out, and the sound gets the job done, but is mostly forgettable.

If you're a fan of such games as Alien Swarm and Shadowgrounds, you can't go wrong with a purchase of this title.

Good but short

Rubin1993 | Sept. 3, 2012 | See all Rubin1993's reviews »

Alien Shooter: Vengeance is very dynamic game about killing swarms of aliens. The gameplay is similar to much arcade games. Difference between original Alien Shooter are: new improved graphics, tons of weapons and new missions. The game is quite good but it's short and also don't have multiplayer or coop to play with friends.

Just another sequel

hotmando1 | Aug. 15, 2011 | See all hotmando1's reviews »

There are so many sequels and ties in with alien shooter. This sequel can really be just called a patch. It's everything better from the first game. Still, being a low-budget game: you have to give the company some credit. The game can be highly addictive sometimes, but just not enough. I got bored of it soon enough, and so will you. Probably.
