The famous weapons manufacturer, Gun Runners, has opened up their exclusive cache of armaments, including new weapons, weapon mods, ammo types and recipes. Their inventory doesn’t come without a price, though. Trek far and wide throughout the Mojave Wasteland in search of this elite class of weapons that range from the outrageously potent to the bizarrely impractical.

  • New Weapons and Weapon Mods

    It’s time to free up some of that inventory weight. Waiting to be uncovered in the Mojave Wasteland is a plethora of new unique weapons such as the Bozar, an all-powerful 5.56mm Light Machine Gun, the Smitty Special, an overwhelming variant of the Plasma Caster,, the MFC Cluster mine, the Esther, a unique Mini Nuke Launcher, and the ridiculous Nuka Breaker – a new melee weapon made from a Nuka-Cola neon sign. If the 27 new weapons aren’t enough, upgrade your existing weapons with 40 new weapon modifications.

  • New Ammo Types and Recipes

    Try out 18 new recipes and 29 new ammo types such as 12 Ga. Dragon’s Breath, Hive Missiles and 25mm/40mm Plasma Grenades, all of which make choosing diplomacy a less appealing option.

  • New Challenges

    Over twenty new challenges await the most diligent of completionists. If you thought that you’ve done and seen everything New Vegas has to offer, think again!

Time to kick out realism with a boot and bring in the glory of overpowered weapons with this DLC! Tons of irresistible awesomeness with a machine gun modified to be a sniper rifle or a Katana that boasts a ridiculous attack rate (with all the right perks and skills). A good number of them are available at the start, even the lower-tier weapons, at excellent condition if one is willing to spend the caps... "Gun Runners Arsenal" can help newcomers to wield reliable and powerful weapons at the beginning of the game or later on when journeying to other areas, such as Zion Canyon of Honest Hearts. Others. on the other hand, are more zany and simply add fun, especially if the "Wild Wasteland" perk is obtained. The only "downfall" of this DLC is the challenges. They're all pretty boring and tend to be ignored as one will always have too much fun ripping off the head of an enemy or making things explode with a nuclear blast from a mini-nuke. Another issue that could be brought up is the ridiculous in-game prices for a lot of the weapons/mods but most of them can be compensated with a high barter skill and cheats, if one is impatient. I give this DLC a B- for adding some more "game time" for those who are stingy and/or do not have enough money to buy most of the DLCs with storylines. Otherwise, free custom game modifications can too provide the same result (though the requirements are higher for they need script extenders and such).

What would you expect from something titled Fallout: New Vegas Gun Runners Arsenal? More guns, new ammo types, customized weapons? Quite unsurprisingly, yes. Although not essential, it's still fun addition to Fallout New Vegas. Gun Runners are weapon makers, whose products will be made available for your character in your Fallout: New Vegas journey. Now some of the weapons are not very innovative, and the only difference from their basic versions is that they can have attachable modifications. But isn't it enough to make them interesting? Many weapons are completely new though, and any gun-geek will surely enjoy them. Getting these toys will require some effort, but there must be a price to pay for this kind of fun. And to complete the DLC there are new challenges to keep you busy. So if you're into guns, you shouldn't miss this pack.
