Guilty Gear Isuka is the newest tittle in the Guilty Gear series(aint the most fresh fruit out there),which is a series of 2D fighting games.Guilty Gear has some unique challengers,as it is Japanese game, its strongly influenced by Anime,so don't be surprised to see cute demon girls, huge swords and such. The drawn graphics ain't anything special, controls are easy to play but it takes time to master all the characters. For me the whole series is medium in quality and Isuka does not stand out.Grab it if you like fighting games, theres not a lot of em on PC.
An OK Guilty Gear gamerawrables | Jan. 20, 2014 | See all rawrables's reviews »
One of the less popular guilty gear games on steam. It's great to see one available. However, the game lacks online multiplayer. To turn you have to use an awkward turn button. This is the four player all at once type of guilty gear which makes it a bit confusing why its local multiplayer only. The PC port actually has weaker graphics options than the original console.
All in all though, its still a decent fighter, still a guilty gear game. It's nice to see these come to PC/steam.
Very OLDschool...coolronz | Jan. 18, 2014 | See all coolronz's reviews »
Feels like a port of a 80s arcade machine. That being said, controls are clunky, visuals are bad. But it sets out to do what it was meant to do, limited time waster of a classic. I does have controller support which is nice to see, but stuck at 640x480 resolution. You really have to love old school beat-em-ups to appreciate this game. Otherwise, steer clear...

Guilty Gear Isuka is a fighting game from the golden age of this genre. Back in the days when such games were frequently seen on arcade machines. Guilty Gear Isuka looks exactly like such arcade beat'em up game, and plays perfectly like one. Why? Well, because that's exactly what it is. This classic fighting game has just been released on Steam, and I still have the original disc with it somewhere. I wonder if it can be fun to somebody who has never played these classic arcade games and only got into video games later in the days when graphics was king, and it was all about stunning visuals and realistic sound. Give this game a try, enjoy the oldschool anime/manga style and see how the games used to be when gameplay was more important than visuals.
