Experimenting with alternative power sources, the biophysicist Henry Alfred Cole found a way to extract the soul from a human body and use the soul as a power source. The soulless bodies however turned into zombies. Hellish creatures started filling them to change dramatically the essence of the host body. A daemon from a parallel world, Baphomet, installed himself in one soulless body and soon founded the cult of Lucifer. The aim of this cult was to open the gate for Lucifer to come into the humans world. The number of followers of the cult increased at a catastrophic rate; Satanists all around the world were joining their ranks. The main hero is concerned with the fate of his missing friend, who had had a meeting with the leader of a satanic sect just a day before his disappearance. His persistent investigations become a threat to the Satan worshippers and Satanists start hunting after him. The creepy truth about the fate of his friend will reveal itself in the mansion of the biophysicist...

This game isn't as bad as the reviews I've read but it is a hard game even on the easier difficulties! game play is decent, and the graphics I would put on par with The Suffering.Physics did surprise me,as trash lids fall off when they are knocked over, and you can shoot through fencing, and through the body of a zombie with his guts missing. The Soundtrack is pretty cool, upbeat and driving. It is a "been there done that",shoot the zombie and run like hell. But not real buggy,as some of the recent titles I've tried.I wouldn't pay the international shipping to rush a copy to your door, but if found in a bargin bin,or picked up online for a 20 or less, not a bad filler if your waiting for the next big first person shooter. Recommended at a cheap price
It's a tough loveffff | March 7, 2013 | See all ffff's reviews »
This game is actually rather enjoyable. Cheesy as all hell but extremely fun. It's a game that I personally love! But it becomes a tough love very quickly. I get a ring and go to it's home to propose to it, but then it slaps me back with crashes every time I pause the game or try to change an option. It then causes me to reconsider the marriage. I end up staying in the friendzone with this game. Enjoying it immensely when it's cooperative but then hating it when it fights back for no reason.
In other words get this game if you just want simple fun, but beware the crashing and game breaking bugs such as falling through floors sometimes on platforming segments. The combat would have to be my damn favorite part of this game... at the price I got it at of $2 it was worth every penny!
A pretty mediocre zombie shooterCooberstooge | Sept. 6, 2012 | See all Cooberstooge's reviews »
Hellforces isn't something I'd recommend unless you're fresh out of new zombie games to try. There's not much wrong with it, but it really feels more like a mod than an entirely standalone title. Character models are a little on the rough side, weapon effects aren't anything most gamers haven't seen before, and the maps are pretty straightforward, with little to no "wow" moments awaiting the player.
The game itself does run well, though, and combat is fairly fun. The controls are well placed, and response times are quite good. Hellforces plays out mostly like the Left 4 Dead games, and you can definitely tell the developers took their inspiration from such games.
Despite being a fairly big fan of most of the stuff 1C Company has put out, this one could have used a little more polish before hitting the market. As is, it'll provide zombie lovers a decent romp, but not a particularly memorable one.

So Hellforces is a relatively new game with annoying gameplay and poor graphics. As the poster below said, it may give some nightmares. It's dark, violent, and bad. Badly made generally. Give this game a miss and try left 4 dead, dead rising 1+2 or dead island.

When playing this game, I sometimes felt that I was in a nightmare that I wanted to wake up from, as this game is dark and terrifying, and rather horrible to play. The graphics are jumpy, the gameplay isn't smooth, and the zombies in the game look like they've been sketched quickly. For those of you who don't know what Hellforces is, it's basically a one-player Left for Dead, but darker, and not as good. Don't buy this unless you want nightmares about badly drawn zombies.
