Why does people hate this game?GatsuRage | May 27, 2015 | See all GatsuRage's reviews »
Sorry for the "question" tittle thing.. but seriously, the reasons I can find why people hate on this game this much: ♦Not good length ♦Very HARD (you die with a few shots) ♦No very great cover mechanics.. ♦History mode might be vague without much explanation. SO yeah, tho all those are valid points to mark as very negative... I don't think it deserve that much hate, I feel very bad that this game because the bad reputation it got, we don't have a 3rd installment of the franchise. The game what I think was made for, is like an homage to those 80's, and early 90's action movies, with dumb plot, a lot of shooting, blood and drugs (al'pachino scarface, above the law among others) This game is indeed a 1 ride that I doubt you will replay ever again, but I can assure you, that it is worth it, just for that ONE ride for see developers who make the game that nobody else would dare to make (I personally consider this game, as the dark souls of 3rd person action shooting) Wish I could give a higher score, but the negative points I mark at the begin of this review, are justified. Have fun!

This game is short, but it is still a great game. The camera style (think handheld personal camera uploaded to youtube) works really well. The story is pretty good as is the script. The amount of detail in the city environments is pretty amazing. It's hard to find games where the city actually feels alive, but Kane & Lynch 2 pulls it off wonderfully. The graphics in this game are pretty good as well. As far as gameplay goes, the firefights are intense and action packed. Guns seem to have true to life accuracy which is rare in games these days. After playing I have mostly positive things to say about this game. My only two complaints are that the ending left me disappointed and that there were a couple of odd glitches that happened in key points of the game that made me have to reload from the last checkpoint (thankfully checkpoints are aplenty).

I mean like... What the hell I just saw? Some things you see on the screen are just hilarious, other disturbing. I loved the story, the struggle of those two guys. It was something to behold. Alas... The game is terribly short and linear. But the story guys - totally worth seeing. It's like an action movie. Things are intense out there. No stopping, no rest. That's why I give this game such a high rating.

Has some decent back story and a great script. the graphics are mediocre and the sound plays its part but nothing to enlighten the soul. The camera angle are playing against you at almost every turn.

Kane and Lynch was a surprisingly adequate shooter, but its sequel, Kane and Lynch 2: Dog Days is anything but. The only thing that keeps it from being a generic third person shooter is that most generic third person shooters aren't this bad. There is a wealth of bugs and glitches that holds the game down, as well as a terrible value for its price. I beat the game in 4.5 hours, and for a game that started at retail price, that is unacceptable. The ending makes no sense whatsoever, and the entire plot is just a jumbled, uninspired mess. Do not get Kane and Lynch 2: Dog Days no matter how enticing it seems.
