Mercenaries 2: World in Flames™ is an explosive open-world action game set in a massive, highly reactive, war-torn world. When a power-hungry tyrant messes with Venezuela's oil supply he sparks an invasion that turns the country into a war zone. But for you, international crisis is all upside: You are a mercenary, and you profit from chaos. You are not a soldier. You don't have to play by anyone's rules. You have your own code: you will fulfill the terms of the contract, no matter what. If you see it, you can buy it, steal it, or blow the living crap out of it. And remember rule #1 for mercenaries: EVERYBODY PAYS.
Massively Open World – Play throughout the varied terrains of Venezuela that is larger than all the Mercenaries maps combined.
Work for the Highest Bidder – You decide which factions to work for and when. From one-off pick-up jobs to complex multi-objective missions your choices will decide how the game progresses and which faction wins the war.
*New Toys *– Over 130 vehicles from civilian cars to tanks and choppers plus all the destructive weaponry you can handle from pistols to rocket launchers.
Build Your Own Private Military Company – Recruit other mercenaries to build out your arsenal and options until you have the ultimate array of options to play with.
Playable Water – Fly over it, swim through it, race across it in boats. No longer just something to look at, water is an active part of the game.

I would have scored higher because I'm a huge coop fan, but when my favorite feature is scrapped, I can't justify it with a high score.
But if you're looking for one of those games that throw a huge arsenal in front of you and allow for total mayhem, you'll probably get a lot of enjoyment out of this game. It's one vs countless enemies and you're the biggest badass around. Hardcore gamers might get bored and core gamers just might have a blast, so check out some gameplay footage to be sure it's a game for you.

Mercenaries 2 is an awesome game. There are lots of vehicles like helicopters, cars, trucks, motorcycles, boats etc. Almost every building on the street is destructible and you will have loads of fun destroying things and running around. The gameplay is addicting with lots to do. But there are quite a few bugs and the game tends to get repetitive. Recommended for sandbox fans.

With this game you can drive, walk, take a boat, fly a helicopter gunship and much much more. go it alone or pack some allies in your apc and head over to the enemy's base and cause some havoc. This game is similar to GTA but in my opinion it is as good if not better. Play your way and destroy anything you want. Have fun!

Open world game - lots of things to go and do (and things to blow-up)! But, it get repetitive. It should be more fun to shoot things... escort missions are boring. Enemy AI is horrific (hide and recover health) - then go kill them. Get it on the cheap and play a couple hours (otherwise skip it).

Mercenaries 2 is a great game with 20+ hours of game play. It's not to stressful and it's an open world action adventure. Open world games are the only game's I like to buy, especially good clean fun games. Dark twisted games are depressing. I play games to escape the worries of this world, not have my nose rubbed in them. Game makers need to lighten up. Give me more freedom in a game not mind numbing obstacle's just to make the game take longer to finish. Don't get me wrong, hero quests are great, I can play them all day long and come away satisfied. The top rated games prove my point. Mod-able games are even better. I recommend Mercenaries 2 for many of the above reasons. Keep up the good work.
