Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombies Army is the first of the Nazi Zombies series but don't expect it to be like CoD Nazi Zombies, this game is difficult. You have to have a good aim to beat it. Single Player is fun but kind of tiring because of the amount of zombies you have to take out each time, which is a challenge. The 4-player Co-Op mode is where the game really shines and it makes the game more difficult but more fun as well. Unlike most zombie horde games where they come from windows or buildings, zombies can spawn from ANYWHERE. The variety of enemies make the game interesting as well, you can have jumping zombies that snipe from on top of buildings or explosive zombies. The one feature I loved the most was that there were zombie bosses and these bosses weren't your average just shoot to kill bosses. Each boss had specific mechanics that you had to read to take them down, and you have to take care of zombie hordes while fighting the bosses. So it made the game harder but more enjoyable at the same time. So if you ever decide to pick up this game, pick it up with a couple of friends and have a blast!

A handful of stressful fun-time with buddies!

When I bought this, I intended to use it for a gaming LAN, and only use it once. I was wrong! This game requires co-operation when you're swarmed by hordes of zombies and there's a learning curve to it. Though in the long run it feels repetitive, it's still fun with friends, because each sitting is different, because of how people play.

It's however a stressful game until you get a handle of it. I felt tired out after playing it, because it was such high tempo action, but I'm not complaining! In fact, it manages to be fun at the same time without seeming stressful and angering, it's stressful and entertaining.

Don't bother with playing it alone though, it's a lot more fun with friends!

My friend gifted me a copy of this while it was on sale because he was so keen to play this in co-operative mode. I wasn't going to turn down a free game and proceeded to download the relatively small game file. Once the game had installed my instinct as a PC gamer was to crank the graphic quality up to Ultra and see what the game was made of. To my surprise the game looks gorgeous. The true beauty of the game is when you achieve a headshot and the camera follows the bullet through the air into your un-dead enemies skull. There's something so worryingly gratifying about blowing an enemies head off from across the screen and watching it explode into a thousand pieces in slow-motion.

I've only played the story in co-op so cannot comment on whether the game has legs as a single-player experience. Rest assured the multi-player experience presents hours of fun with enemies that are easy to dispatch of but pose a challenge when in large groups.

Overall I would fully recommend this Zombie-massacre if you have a friend to play along with. The frantic pace at times will have you both laughing and fearing for your life in an experience that plays a bit like a fleshed out version of Nazi Zombies from the Call of Duty series, just with more slo-mo headshots. Give it a try, you won't regret it.

Good fun with friends but a little repetitive.

(I'll say that firstly I loved Sniper Elite V2, so I had moderate hopes for this title too!)

Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army is a gothic/horror spin on Sniper Elite V2, featuring hordes of the undead and supernatural. You'll encounter standard zombies, special zombies (brute, sniper and speedy) and various monsters such as the 'ever-so-annoying fire creatures'.

The shooting mechanics are just like Sniper Elite V2's, with the performance being just as good too! Your character is still controlled in exactly the same way, no significant changes have been made.

Visual-wise, the characters and world/levels are still highly detailed like Sniper Elite V2's, apart from this time many of the levels have been laid out and altered to appear more Arena-like. This can be a negative at times because the sniping mechanics become less effective at close range. Like the predecessor, the close-range weapons still fail to 'pack a punch' meaning you'll find yourself spraying bullets everywhere every-so-often.

Apart from the changes to the lighting, enemies (& AI) and some new weapons added, the game is still very similar to its predecessor. The Slow-motion, X-ray bullet cams are still there but because the zombies are 'rotting', the textures for the organs and bones have been changed to look more rotten and decaying. These new textures unfortunately don't look as great as the originals, which means I found the perfectly shots I'd taken a little less satisfying (This isn't a big issue though).

All in all, a solid co-operative game. If you liked Sniper Elite V2, then this game is like a co-op single-player from that game, only with zombies and horror. It hasn't revolutionized the series, but it's a fairly good game nevertheless!

BOOM HEADSHOT!!!

csveloz | Sept. 16, 2013 | See all csveloz's reviews »

That's what you will be saying every time you land a headshot and the awesome X-Ray, slow mo, bullet cam lets you see the bullet penetrate the skull of each zombie with mesmerizing beauty! This is basically a shooting range on steroids and I love it. Sometimes you just need some mindless fun and it only gets better when you add friends to the mix. When I purchased this game I had just made the switch to PC and this helped me tune my aim with the mouse and keyboard. I only paid about $10 for this game and it has given me numerous hours of entertainment. So if you are on the fence about this game stop being a cheap SOB and buy this already!
