A RETRO CLASSIC REBORN
In 1993 the world witnessed the birth of a new type of super hero. Now, twenty years later, Superfrog is back!
But wait! Before you get all gooey-eyed, Superfrog HD isn’t just some quick and easy port of the 16-bit version but with fancy graphics! It’s a complete re-imagining with tweaked gameplay, reworked levels and, of course, enhanced high definition cartoon style artwork. A nod to the 16-bit platformers of old, Superfrog HD is a retro classic reborn.
In the greatest traditions of fairy tales our story sees a handsome prince turned into a slimy frog by an evil and jealous witch… who, in turn, kidnaps the prince's bride to be and heads for the hills. Our little green friend happens upon a mystery potion (wow, how lucky was that?). Chugging on the vial, the frog prince is bestowed with amazing powers. Determined to defeat the witch our hero sets out on an adventure that, with your help, will lead him to his true love.
You must explore and traverse 24 finely crafted levels and additional boss levels across 6 differently-themed worlds. The goal of each level is to collect a set number of coins, and then reach the exit. The ultimate aim, as ever, is to save the day, beat the witch and get the girl.
The game is an updated version of the classic side-scrolling, 2D platformer. Superfrog HD has been re-imagined with enhanced high definition cartoon style graphics. Gameplay has been made fairer too, but for those who like a challenge the original maps are in there too.

Truly fun game from the 80s. I really enjoyed this game when i was a kid. Now when i play this i feel like a kid again. Superfrog really brings back lots of memories. With this new remastered HD edition. I feel it really hits the right on spot. A good mix of modern generation graphics + the old retro feeling is just nice right in the center. Making sure to not overdo the mechanics and how it actually felt like last time.
The sound track is so much better now even though it may not suit many gamers but those looking to go back to your 80s game should definitely check this out
But i would recommend for it to be cheaper first then to purchase it on sale.

This game is great fun, although its almost 20 years old. The gameplay hasn't changed much, but the HD update went over very well, and the graphics look crisp and clean. Its good fun as a standard platformer, resembling the sonic series' gameplay aspects, while retaining its own unique vibe. Its quirky style of art and sound, level design, and gameplay all go in to making this a good retro platformer. A good buy for someone looking to get back to the old days.

This game is 20 years old hadn't played it in years fancied giving it a go. The Hd overhaul is done well but keeps that retro vibe. Game play is unchanged but fun as it ever was. If liked the original I give a recommend. If like retro games like sonic and mario also give it a go.
