Splinter cell has changed quite a bit over the years and one of these changes is from more stealth gameplay to action orientated gameplay. This is by no means a bad thing but fans of the original series may not find as much to like as newcomers will. The game focuses on the narritave which is a new direction and it pulls the story off well. The game has great graphics and sounds and the story is interesting so as long as you can deal with the lack of stealth you should get the game.
Not so stealthy anymoremichalmichal | Aug. 12, 2013 | See all michalmichal's reviews »
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Conviction continues the story of Sam Fisher, whose daughter was killed and now his own life is also in danger. The Splinter Cell series was known for being stealth games, but now Conviction makes it much more dynamic and focuses on the narrative. Another surprising thing about this game is how enjoyable it is, especially in cooperation mode, which allows you to team up in order to deal with your enemies, preferably in a stealthy way. Even though the choice of possible moves was limited, it still does its job well. And if you get the game in its deluxe version you will gain access to additional equipment, another gameplay mode and the soundtrack. At the moment the price is so reasonable that the deluxe version should be preferable.
