An excellent introduction to the RPG.
Sir_Selah | May 9, 2013 | See all Sir_Selah's reviews »The story is simple enough. two young siblings set out to collect some candy on Halloween but find themselves embroiled in a series of battles with monsters who are on the attack! To defend themselves and rescue the captured sibling (after you choose which one you wish to play as) they don various Halloween costumes and transform themselves into mighty heroes through the power of imagination.
The story is simple but very cute and well-written. The gameplay is very basic, but also very functional. Although there isn't much of a challenge to be found here, it's a great game for newcomers to get into the genre in a family-friendly manner.
If you've played RPGs before and know what they're about, the insanely easy difficulty level may bore you. But if not, you're in for a treat (with a few tricks along the way)!

balbo79 | March 26, 2013 | See all balbo79's reviews »As two young twins Reynold and Wren, brother and sister, on the night of Halloween we will take a long adventure, characterized by a deep combat system taken from turn-based role-playing games, which according to the costume worn transform our alter -ego into a superhero, but seen through the eyes of a child. In battle we will have only two types of attack, the first base, while the second will load with the advance of shifts. The enemies will attack promptly, but in our help we would have a series of Quick Time Event that, if done correctly, will provide to reduce the amount of damage inflicted to our party. The series of challenges that we submit will always be different because of the huge amount of costumes available to us. In addition to fighting, Costume Quest offers a generous exploratory section is divided into three distinct areas, very varied and full of little puzzles and secondary roads. We may collect various missions, find materials to build new costumes, dedicate ourselves to the mini-games or the classic trick or treating.
