Description

Early Britannia. King Arthur is ruling over the land. He is a great and wise ruler. His subjects treat him with respect and the Knights of the Round Table remain steadfastly at his side.

Arthur’s archenemies have joined forces with the Saxons and the Northerners and recruited a huge army. With it, they are now attacking Camelot. Arthur cannot stand at the sidelines and watch everything being destroyed, that he has built from the scratch. So he makes one last and desperate attempt to prevent the inevitable. To make the attack a success, Arthur has to make the maximal sacrifice.

Despite Arthur’s effort only an uncertain stalemate between the two rivaling parties can be accomplished, an elusive period of rest. The final battle is lying in remote future. But how did it come to that at all?

Travel to a fantastic past and experience a new version of the saga of King Arthur. Witness the most important events in the story of the legendary king, until his selfless attempt to save his kingdom and accompany his loyal abiders on their way into an uncertain future. Can you restore the honor, the glory and the reign of Camelot?

Key Features:

  • Experience medieval England at the time of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table with detailed graphics and painstakingly designed environments - and rewrite history in the process!

  • Good or evil? Decide for yourself whether you will fight on the side of King Arthur or Mordred and his allies from the Northlands.

  • Construct impregnable fortresses and fortify them with units, moats, and spear walls. Your strategy will determine your success or failure.

  • Realistic projectile ballistics enables a tactical advantage for higher positions, and falling objects and rubble cause damage.

  • By fulfilling certain tasks, you can acquire legendary characters that will give you a bonus for your missions

A Good RTS

A good strategy game, if you enjoy strategy games. It's a bit difficult to get into, though, if they aren't really your thing. So don't expect to seamlessly drop into the ruling seat of the most powerful nation ever, unless you have some experience in such matters.

The graphics are decent, and gameplay is satisfying enough to keep you going.

Decent Rts stronghold/ageofempire alike

Citadels seems to be inspired by the Settlers and Stronghold series mostly. You can build up your economy, refine materials, build defensive towers and walls, train troops and attack your opponent. Each element of the gameplay is unfortunately pretty basic and unfinished, though. The base for a promising game may be in place but it's like the developer didn't have the resources to finish it. It also contains some glaring bugs and glitches (i.e. peasants getting stuck idle while constructing because of poor pathfinding, glitchy selection boxes making unit selection difficult...) that suggest that this game should have remained in development much longer.

I have played many RTS games. This game I thought would really suck but after about an hour playing it, I was kinda addicted to it. Compared to Company of Heroes, its about an 8/10 where CoH is a 9/10. The graphics in this are pretty good for what it is but without a tutorial for any beginners, it may be hard to get started. If you have experience playing RTS games, you should pick this up quite easily. In the end, this game should be $20 not $40.

The graphics look pretty nice, and the game runs smoothly and I dont have an extreme gaming PC. The game mechanics are awesome, I havent played the previous strongholds but I think I will pick them up because this style of gameplay is great. Maybe its to hard for some people, but it isnt to complicated. The campaign is pretty good, I have reached the 7th mission and the first level isnt great but right after that from level 2 onwards the game really picks up. I tried multiplayer and it works fine contrary to what other people have said. There are plenty of matches in the browser and the games run fine. I really cant find many flaws, this is actaully a pretty damn good strategy castle game.
