An inspired game from Re-Logic's Terraria..XGpredator | Jan. 3, 2014 | See all XGpredator's reviews »
Darkout is an interesting experience and has a sandbox / survival efficient side but it need some originality and draws too much competition (Terraria). In addition, the interface is messy and the gameplay is repetitive which heavily puts down the gaming experience and may alienate the less patient players. A title that is primarily addressed to the players who are used to the genre.

This game has a very atmospheric storyline as well as its art style. The graphic looks very beautiful for an indie game. In addition, this game offers a very detailed crafting systems for players to craft gears as well as a deep technology tree for players to unlock. One interesting aspect of this game it uses light and dark mechanics where monsters gets stronger in the dark and weak when there is light combine with a sandbox element where you have to build and survive similar to Terraria. Overall, a very fun sandbox adventure game similar to Terraria and Starbound.
