Edna and Harvey: Harvey's New Eyes
Third party DRM: SteamThis game requires a free Steam account to play.
Shy schoolgirl Lilli is having a tough time at the convent. Only her imagination helps her to escape from the strict rule of Mother Superior. But when her best friend Edna disappears under mysterious circumstances, Lilli has to rise above her own and face a tough journey to not only get her friend back but also confront her subconcious fears.
Lilli, a young girl at a convent school, is the main character of Edna & Harvey: Harvey’s New Eyes. Apparently the best-behaved little girl in the world, she executes all her tasks diligently, no matter how unfair they may be. Her innocent, imperturbable way of carrying out the orders of others has something both tragic and eerie about it. Any resentment, any childlike disobedience is buried deep beneath a seemingly impenetrable shell of sweetness. But how long until this shell will fissure?
And where do the friendly little Censor-Gnomes come from that paint over anything upsetting in Lilli’s vicinity with a pleasant pink color? Are those potato-shaped fellows real or just a product of her subconscious?
All things considered, it seems merely a matter of time until Lilli is going to crack up.

My first game of Edna & Harvey - it is charming!AkiMatti | June 22, 2015 | See all AkiMatti's reviews »
I haven't played adventure games since I was a kid but they seem to thrive still. This game has some great humor and well made characters. I was quite fond of Lilli, whom the player has to control (to my surprise). Lilli does not speak at all, instead she just mumbles something and people seem to understand her. She also looks very innocent which is funny since what she does is not always so innocent. I won't spoil you the story but it is quite fun and has some nice surprises. The puzzles (that are part of any old-school adventure game) are not too hard and can be solved without too much hassle or the help of a walkthrough. Controlling is easy and the interface works well enough that it stays out of the way but is easy to manage. The music sets the atmosphere well, and the voices of the characters really bring them to life. Recommended for a point&click fans.

Guys, this is a fantastic point and click and game. Great story, characters, graphics, music, atmosphere, creative puzzles, tons of dark jokes, everything is perfect in this little adventure. Deadlic entertainment showed us once more, that they are the best this genre.

Good game. It was often funny. The cutesy graphics are juxtaposition for the deeply grim undercurrent of the story. Some really messed up things happen. This game deals with trauma-based mind control and child murder among other things. It took around 8 hours to beat. It's definitely on the easy side of point-and-click adventures. I only got stuck once; didn't have to use a walk-through at all. I definitely recommend to genre fans.

Edna & Harvey: Harvey's New Eyes is a sequel to Edna & Harvey: The Breakout, an adventure game launched last year. Despite the name, the main character of the game is in fact Lilli, a young girl who is very kind and tries her best to help others. Even so, she is always bullied by the other students and Mother Superior. What's strange about Lilli is the fact that she tends to be a killer without her even realising that. The story revolves around saving Edna, Lilli's only friend, when she goes missing. The game is a point & click adventure, but the quests are nothing too hard, especially for the die-hard fans of the genre. Every puzzle is pretty logic, even though not real-life logic, but more like cartoon logic. The graphics are very nice and innocent, with cartoonish characters that look almost out of a 90's cartoon for small children. Even so, it fits like a glove to the game and it gives it a special atmosphere. The music is also very nice and fits the graphics, adding even more to the cartoon atmosphere. Overall, E&H: Harvey's New Eyes is a pretty good adventure that will entertain anyone, not just the fans of the genre. If you liked Deponia, this is a must-have.
