"Reminiscent of The Sims, this ingenious game breaks the mould of the traditional management simulation in some style, as you attempt to keep your men happy on and off the pitch. From chalking out the tactics to keeping the party boys out of the tabloids, I's an absolute riot. Best Moment : The sight of your squad starting a conga line outside the training ground at 6am after a night out. Tut Tut" - Fourfourtwo Magazine Review

Quite enjoyable.HolyWinter | Dec. 6, 2013 | See all HolyWinter's reviews »
While you can spot a lot of Sims aspects it is still quite good as a simulator. I actually prefer this over Football Manager 2014 way more and yes if your a little tired of Fifa or football manager this could be a nice, good substitute. The DLC for this might make it just a bit more interesting and if your standards are set too high for this you may just not like this from the get go. Im very pleased with this however and I hope you will be too!

Lords of Football allows the player to assume the role of the coach of a football team . The originality was born , however, when one realizes that , instead of wages and transfers , you have to worry about a 360 degree view of their players , starting with the management of the training to follow the adventures of their nightlife. We did not finance management and communication with the media view in Football Manager , but this is rather well a focus on the players and their privacy . Choosing the team, we become aware of the personality of our players, summed up in three words and a phrase that identifies psychology. Dragging players around the field , so you can choose which of these should train and what should , for example, physiotherapy or gym . After a few matches played , however, you will find that the gameplay is a mix of The Sims , The Movies and Football Manager , is too schematic and certainly very repetitive. Next to this there is still a positive representation of the matches, which may also give some satisfaction .

You can jump in with only a basic understanding of how the game works and immediately start having fun. But with a little bit of practice, you’ll unearth the complexities of the game. The more time you spend learning the game, the more you’ll feel rewarded. This game is challenging and accessible at the same time. There have been plenty of game about football and I've been playing football game since Microprose Soccer, but there have been none like Lords of Football. The game delivers really nice football simulation and many innovations are great. You don't have just the tactics, you also have to take care of personal problems and strange behaviors of players. Commands during the match are also a good idea and the punishments are just amazing. Surprisingly well done for an indie game and no official licenses.
Fun , but can get frustratingSaburoSakai | May 12, 2013 | See all SaburoSakai's reviews »
This game is fun to fans of football(soccer), it is fun to see all your players improve over time and be able to face some of the more elite teams within you league. Of course there are problems that begin to frustrate you. There is very little ability to manage what your players do after training. People get addictions way to much and it gets extremely frustrating especially when you only have limited locations to resolve that issue.
The actual football games aren't as fluid , but i didn't expect it since this company isn't one of the major sports game franchise makers.
Its not a great game, from a diehard football fan this was quite upsetting and that there wasn't much more customization to what you could do with players.
